"Behind every smile, hides a person's true pain"
Avery’s P.O.V
I never slept throughout the whole night. I was waiting for Zayn, unfortunately, he didn’t come back home. It’s 7:45 a.m. in my clock, so I decided to get up and get ready for this day. I strutted towards my bathroom, turned on the lights, got my toothbrush and toothpaste, and brushed my teeth. After gargling with some mouth wash, I gazed at my appearance in the mirror. “Mirror, mirror, on the wall. I know I don’t look pretty after all.” I muttered. I have some bags under my eyes. God! I looked like a complete mess. I washed my face and I looked more… fresh? Ha! Who am I kidding? I’m still a wreck. I decided to take a bath, maybe that’ll help me look presentable.
Afterwards, I picked out some loose shirt and spandex shorts. I also putted my hair in a sock bun. I stepped out of my room and went downstairs to watch some shows. Since, everybody was still sleeping, I went to the kitchen to cook for my own breakfast. I opened the fridge and checked the food stock we still have. Butter: check, bacon: check, eggs: check. I opened the kitchen cabinet to look for some bread, but it was empty. The other cabinets were dead empty too. There’s only one culprit: Niall. I think I really need to do some grocery shopping, and this time it’s for real. I checked the time and it’s just 8:24 a.m. The mall is still closed by this time.
I ended up cooking some bacons and eggs. I was finishing my food happily when, Liam walked in. “Morning!” I greeted him delightfully. He waved his hand at me and looked at my empty plate. “Hungry?” he asked me with a smirk. “A hundred percent.” I said and washed my plates. “Liam,” I approached him. “Yeah?” he asked, “I need to go to the mall later.” I told him. “Why?” he asked me again. “The fridge is empty.” I answered him. “Oh, but, why in the mall? There’s a grocery store nearby.” he said, eyeing me suspiciously. “Well, I think I need to buy some clothes.” I replied shyly. “Okay. But, you’re not going out.” he said. What?! How in the world will I be able to shop for some clothes if I’m not allowed to go out? “Why not?” I asked him, my tone raising. “You’ve been out for a few days, so I think you need some rest, love.” he answered. “And I need to give you something.” he said and dashed out of the room. Wonder what he’s up to. Minutes passed and Liam returned back to me with a gift? “What’s with the wrapped box?” I asked him curiously. He handed it to me with a smile. “It’s for you.” I was flabbergasted. “It’s not my birthday, Liam.” I informed him and he just shook his head. “Just open it.” he instructed me and did what I was told. I tear the wrapper and The Fault in Our Stars book appeared. It’s the book I was looking for. “How did you know?” I asked him in delight. “It’s a secret.” he replied. I hugged Liam tightly and kissed his cheek. I realized what I did and I quickly pulled away.
We both have our cheeks flushed red. Neither of us moved an inch nor say anything for the next 5 minutes. And it was like…
Awkward
Good thing, Louis walked in the kitchen. “Hell-oooo?” he greeted us and gave us a piece of his crazy mind. “What’s with the red cheeks and no speaking?” he asked, looking at us. I was about to speak when Louis shut me. His eyes widen in horror, “Wait! Did you two slap each other’s faces?” he asked us. “No! We didn’t, right Liam?” I said turning to Liam, whose face was still scarlet red.
Seriously, Lou?
What came up with your mind to think that we slapped each other’s faces?
Oh, yeah, you are going bonkers.
“Lou, do you have any plans for today?” Liam asked him and Lou shook his head repeatedly. “Oooooohhhh… I feel dizzy.” Lou said, holding his head with his two hands. “Of course, you are feeling dizzy. You twirled your head like a crazy maniac!” I snapped at him and he only laughed at me. “Enough of that. Since, you don’t have any plans for today, Lou, do you mind accompanying me to the mall?” Liam asked him. “You’re lucky, Liam. I am not feeling crazy today. Of course, I will go with you. But, uh, ermmm, why? I mean, why are we going to the mall?” he asked Liam. “There’s no more food, probably Niall ate all of it, and Avery wants some fresh clothes.” Liam answered. “Oh, so we’re going to buy some clothes for her?” Louis asked him and Liam nodded. “What type of clothing do you like? Ahh, no, scratch that. We’re bringing Harry and Zayn. Those two knows the perfect attire for girls.” Louis told me. “Well, if you’re bringing those two, wake them up.” Liam instructed him. “Zayn’s not here.” I said silently, almost like a whisper. “What?” Liam asked me.I sighed, “Zayn didn’t come home.”. Louis shrugged and ran to the stairs. “HARRY EDWARD STYLES!!! GET YOUR FAT ARSE DOWN HERE!!!” Louis yelled loudly. Harry was still asleep, despite of Lou’s frantic yelling. “HARRY!!! THERE ARE HOT GIRLS HERE!!!” Lou yelled again, but with no avail, Harry was still sleeping peacefully. Lou grunted and came up with something, I can tell because he’s face suddenly brighten up.
