Chapter 1

Chakra is a form of energy all living things naturally produce. It is a combination of "physical energy" and "spiritual energy" which come from the body's cells and the mind's consciousness. Without it the organism dies. However, in some cases humans can survive, but only for a limited amount of time. The longest recorded human living without chakra was 48 hours, but what society doesn't know is that a human baby was born without chakra and lived.

Miyako Yukimura was the blessed child, the one that was favorited by the gods and was given a chance to live. Miyako took this as a sign when she was old enough to understand. She vowed that she would help people no matter what. Even if it was for the wrong people.

The orange headed leader sat at the front of the table, starring at a picture of his organization's next target, Yukimura Miyako. He did not know why she was being targeted; she was nothing special other than the fact that she did not have any chakra, but his boss wanted her for reasons unknown. And it was never in his position to question his boss's actions. It wasn't like he cared; the girl was just an average human, not worth his time. But nevertheless, it was still his mission to capture her and bring her here to the hide out. Well not exactly, he was not personally going to be the one to kidnap her that was the duty of his subordinates. In this case, it would be Deidara and his partner Sasori.

"As you see this is our next target located in the Yuma Village in the Land of Mountains. Deidara and Sasori will be the ones to apprehend her, and bring her back here alive. That is all," said the leader. He stood up, disappearing out of the room with a female following shortly behind after handing papers to the blonde haired, Deidara, and the red head, Sasori, who didn't look too pleased with the mission.

Deidara looked over the papers carefully, azure eyes not missing a bit of information, studying his newly assigned target. He noted that she was quite the looker with her small frame and long silky inky hair, but what stood out the most were her sad charcoal eyes; she was like a work of art. But, those thoughts were unnecessary for this mission. With the girl's background, she would be an easy catch. It wasn't like she could defeat two S ranked missing-nins.

"Deidara come on," commanded Sasori as he walked out the door. He just wanted to get this over and done with; he had other things to do other than go get some useless girl. And he wanted to get started now because the journey to the Land of Mountains was going to be long; even longer with Deidara who would most likely talk all the way there.

"Whatever, un! I'm coming, yeah!" shouted the hot headed blonde as he got up, advancing behind his grumpy partner. However, in his mind he could not help, but think that this was going to be interesting.

The wind blew ever so slightly, shaking the trees just enough for the golden leaves to fall onto the hard ground underneath forming a pile of the different colored leaves. However, they would not be there for long because they were blocking the walk way to the shrine up ahead. Normally a pile of leaves would be nothing, but ever since the shrine was re-built many people came and visited, praying to the Kami for loved ones and friends that were ill.

"Miyako-neesan hurry up the tea is done!" called out a little girl around the age of seven. She stood on the steps of the shrine waving to the older female with a bright smile plastered on her pale, almost ghost like, face.

"Just a minute. I am almost done," Miyako replied as she swept the last of the walkway. She wiped her forehead of any sweat and pulled her long inky locks into a pony tail resting on the top of her head. She then inspected her handiwork to make sure nothing was out of place. Once satisfied, she walked towards her younger sister, smirking at her childish ways. "See that didn't take long Moriko-chan."
