Chapter 3

Miyako stared at the slightly cracked, dusty walls in deep thought about what Akatsuki’s leader told her. Apparently she was wanted for reasons unknown completely to him by a higher up, but that didn’t answer her questions at all. She wanted to march in there and command exactly what she was wanted for, yet Miyako knew that it would be like her death wish. She would just have to wait and see what would happen no matter how long it took. Suddenly, a loud booming voice echoed within the halls; Hidan. Anyone could recognize it was him by his cursing and loud stomping, which apparently is supposed to be walking. Taking note to how close it was—thanks to his feet—Miyako sat up and slid to the back of her bed, composing herself. Yesterday, she acted like a scared helpless child and she hated when she acted weak, mainly if it’s in front of the opposite gender.

Miyako quickly shook away the painful memories that threaten to surface and put up a blank expression; today was different, not matter how scared she was, Miyako would not show them one bit. She needed to be strong and have hope; hope that one day she would return to her beloved sister and best friend. “Hey bitch time to wake up, Leader-sama wants to see you so hurry the fuck up,” he said through the door. Was he not going to come in? Miyako thought.

Hidan was told by Pein-sama not the scare the girl any more than he already had and make sure she was taken care of while she was staying here. Hidan just nodded his head, trying his best not to ask unnecessary questions or ask why he, of all people, had to look after her. Why couldn’t Deidara take care of the brat? That’s what he thought when he left the room. He didn’t want to watch after her all the damn time, what if he had something to do? Like a mission, would he have to take her with him? Hell no, was what he thought.

Miyako swiftly got up from her bed and ran a trembling hand through her inky hair, brushing out any knots before straightening her red hakama and white haori. It wasn’t long before Hidan knocked on the door softly and slowly opened it, taking one step in. Miyako stiffened a little, but otherwise was ready to leave. Hidan took notice to her stiffness and backed away, allowing Miyako room a walk out of the door without her brushing up against the larger male; for that she was thankful.

Once again Hidan lead her through the familiar halls of the Akatsuki hideout, still watching her surroundings closely making sure to burn it deep within her mind; once it was there it would never leave. It was a useful ability to have; however, can also be dangerous, never know what you may come across now-a-days. “We’re almost there,” Hidan announced, shocking Miyako slightly; he didn’t even curse and sounded kind of nice? Maybe it was just her imagination getting the better of her. She always did try to look for the best in people, no matter how far off the path of goodness they were, it was something Miyako was born with and it offend got her in trouble. “You—you can relax, I won’t do anything,” Hidan said as he looked out of the corner of his eye watching the younger girl. She nodded her head and stared forward, not even glancing in his direction. Hidan didn’t give a crap though as long as she was not crying he would be fine.

After Hidan’s failed attempts to calm Miyako, silence flew over the two; all that could be heard was the footfalls they were making, with of course Hidan’s noticeably louder than the girl’s. On the inside, Miyako was sighing. Wasn’t he even a ninja, and aren’t ninjas supposed to make as little noise as possibly so the enemy would hear them? If so, he was failing at doing his job properly. But, on the outside she remained a blank face.

Soon the same door came into view causing Miyako to stiffen up more any she already was because just behind those very doors was a very powerful s-ranked missing-nin who could easily kill her with one finger if he wanted to, so Miyako decided to just be polite and answer any questions he may have, no matter how much she would love to strangle him to death with her bare hands and watch as life left his cold eyes.
