Reid was waiting for Carmen near the entrance of the art exhibit. Carmen told him that it would take her awhile and that she would meet him there. He kept on checking the time on his phone. To him it felt as if he was waiting forever even though it had only been ten minutes since he got there. Waiting by himself for Carmen to come reminded him of when he was in high school and was waiting for the girl he liked to meet him on the football field.
She approached him. She had made him wear a blindfold and she had left him like that for awhile. He heard her approaching him. Long dirty blonde hair, stood 5'5, wore pink blush and a pink lip gloss. It took her awhile to meet him back on the football field. Ten minutes. She took off the blindfold. She stood infront of him looking at him dead in the eye.
"I've been waiting for you, Spencer," she said with a genuine smile.
Spencer blushed a deep red. "I've been waiting for you too.."
He felt that something wasn't right. He soon felt strong hands grab him from behind and stripping him of his clothes until he was down to his underwear. Spencer flushed red and felt mortified. Everyone from school was on the football field laughing at him and his crush was there laughing the hardest while pointing at him. All of the football team surrounded him and picked him up. They stripped him of his underwear and carried him to a goal post where they tied him up.
Reid shook the thought from his head. 'High school can never happen again, Spencer, get over it.' he thought to himself. The front entrance of the exhibit opened which caught Reid's attention so he straightened himself up. Carmen stepped inside with a lacy, short white dress and having flats to match. Reid urged to say hello when she looked at him with a pearly white smile on her face, but he couldn't bring himself to say anything. He felt his palms getting sweaty and his mouth getting terribly dry.
"Hey," she greeted.
Reid smiled in relief of her greeting him first. "Hi."
"Sorry I'm late, I got home late from a job interview and I couldn't figure out what to wear; my room is a disaster right now," she explained with a giggle in her talk.
Reid chuckled. "It's fine and you look fine as well."
She smiled a bit brighter. "Thank you, so do you. Purple's definitely your colour."
Reid looked at his purple dress shirt and smiled. "Thanks, my mom bought it for me when I joined the BAU."
"That's cute. She must miss you everyday."
"I make sure to visitor whenever I have the chance to."
"You must really love your mom."
Reid flashed a quick smile. "Yeah, I really do. When your stuck with one parent for a long period of time without seeing the other parent, you tend to get attached to the one you're left with."
Carmen gave him a empathetic smile. She knew what it felt like to be attached to one parent over the other.
"Why don't we start walking to the ancient Greece gallery first? Does that sound alright for you, momma's boy?" She joked.
"Momma's boy is such a misleading statement because not every boy is destined to love their mothers unconditionally." He said as he began walking.
"But you did. I wasn't much of a daddy's girl as the legendary saying goes."
"I can understand why, your dad wasn't the best person."
"You're right."
"You never quite told me the whole story about your biological parents."
