(Aren't I so cool, updating so fast? I actually just have no life... Whatever. Also, is it just me, or does literally everyone but me have TABINOF??? Am I the only broke one???)
Dan sat at the desk, confused as to what the thing in front of him could possibly be.
The silver knife hadn't done anything, hadn't shown any mystical powers, but Dan was sure there was something special about it.
Phil watched as the beautiful boy contemplated the workings of the blade. He knew Dan was onto something, he just didn't know what. In all the years of being a hunter, he'd never seen that blade. So why did it show up now? Then again, never had he been attacked by the King of Hell, so there wasn't any weight holding to his experiences.
Dan pulled out his laptop, and started going through webpages.
"Hey, what the fuck?" Phil peered over Dan's shoulder at the site. "Zoella... Sugg?" Phil knit his brows in confusion.
"That's not right." Phil said, scanning over the page. "In ancient history, it was said that angel Zoë Sugg (modernly nicknamed "Zoella") was cast down from heaven after making a deal with The king of Hell. Giving up her own angel blade, she then took the keys to Hell, leaving her brother, Joseph, in heaven, locked up for eternity. This brought the first ever angel blade down from heaven." Phil finished, staring at Dan. "It could be just a coincidence."
Dan shook his head. "We don't deal with coincidences." He played with the knife in his hand. "So this is an angel blade," he said, lost in thought. "The angel blade."
Phil stared at Dan, then looked back to the page. "But Zoel- Zoë's a hunter. How could she possibly be an angel?"
A knock on Dan's room door startled them from their conversation. Quickly slamming the laptop shut, Phil turned to the figure in the hallway outside.
"Hey there, everything alright?" Zoë asked, taking a step inside the room. "I heard you were staying an extra night in town. Is the case over?"
Dan tried to come up with an excuse, anything to throw her off the trail, but Phil took his own approach before Dan could react.
"We know who you are, Zoë." Phil stated blatantly. Dan rolled with the direction the conversation was going and held up the angel blade.
Zoë's eyes widened, and her body went rigid. She stared at the two boys, and slammed the door behind her shut.
"You have to listen. If-if they find me, you have no idea what they'll do to me." She started, stumbling over her words. Dan wasn't an idiot; he knew she was worried. She was their friend, and he refused to betray her.
Phil huffed. He'd heard it all before. Glancing at Dan, he saw a flicker of empathy cross his features. He was too inexperienced, he had no idea how these creatures worked.
"Yeah, about that." Phil took the blade from Dan. "Why was your old friend trying to stab Dan with this? Care to explain?"
Zoë's face turned from worry to confusion. "The blade is powerless after touching human blood. Why would the King of Hell... Dan, are you human?" The question shocked Dan, and a familiar feeling filled Phil. Dan rubbed the cut from his neck- the blade was powerless now.
Dan stared at Zoë, blinking. "I- I think so." He laughed nervously. "I mean, my parents were human-"
Zoë flared brightly, and Phil averted his eyes. When the light died down, he looked back at the scene. "What was that for?"
But Zoë had disappeared, leaving the two boys with unanswered questions.Tyler smiled at the beautiful Angel in front of him. It'd been millennia since he'd seen the girl. She looked the same, just as soft faced and innocent as before. Oh, how looks could deceive.
Zoë peered at the King with a panicked expression. "What do you want?"
Tyler shook his head in disdain. "No greeting? My, age has made you bitter, hasn't it?"
She snarled at him. "What do you want?" She repeated. She didn't have time for this; she needed to get back to Dan and Phil.
Tyler snapped his fingers, and chains appeared on her wrists, connecting her to the cold stone wall. "I want you out of my business." She stared at him with an odd expression. His business? Tyler rolled his eyes. "Those boys, my blade. You're fucking with it. There ain't no way in hell-" he stopped suddenly. "No pun intended," Zoë rolled her eyes. "I'm gonna let you go back up there and do that."
She shook her head. "The blade, I get. But why stab Daniel? What did he do?"
Tyler looked around. He knew his little angel wasn't getting out, so why not?
"He's not entirely human, Zoë. His father was, that's not important. It was his mother... She was a demon. Not just any demon. Lucifer."
Zoë laughed. "That's not possible. Demons' can't have children. They aren't human enough. And besides, even if it were, why kill him?" She knew Tyler was being ridiculous.
"Zoë, look around! It wasn't possible for us to lock up Lucifer, but here we are, Satan in the cage. Demons are becoming more human, and soon they won't need a host." Tyler ran a hand through his hair. It was stressful for him, running Hell. Now the illegal child, Dan Howell, was running free on Earth, sending his own kind back to Hell. "You must not get your feedback from Heaven anymore. You have no idea about Phil, either, do you?"
Zoë stared at him, trying to call his bluff. She'd known the King for years, but even now he seemed crazy. She knew he was telling the truth, but it was so far fetched. "What about Phil?"
Tyler rubbed his forehead in frustration. He knew these next few months were going to be difficult for him. "He's the son of an angel, and not just any angel." Tyler felt his heart drop as it finally sunk in.
Zoë shook her head, still lost. "Who?"
"Michael."
