"Listen, just listen."
Delilah shook her head, avoiding his light eyes, "No, Lucifer."
"Please, come on, Del, you haven't been home in four days, just move in."
"You're insane. I'm a teenager, I want to go to college, I want to live my life and get a job and do adult things. We're not even together."
Luke and Delilah were going through this a lot, arguments, disagreements, yelling, and it wasn't very pleasant.
He was 18 in a weekand he wasn't even sure what the hell he was going to do, but he knew he wanted her by his side.
"Oh-my-God, no." She sighed, tugging at her hair with one hand and biting her nails with the other.
"Delilah, listen,"
But what he didn't know was that, that was all she has been doing, listening, but he didn't even take a damn second to listen to her.
"I love you."
Her head shot up suddenly, and both her hands dropped to her sides.
"What?"
"I love you and I hate everything on this earth with a strong burning passion, but I love you and you're one of the reasons why I'm the slightest bit sane."
Delilah's eyes were so droopy, and she had school tomorrow.
This whole conversation felt like a dream, a sweet sweet dream, a dream she played so many times in her head, "I love you too."
And dream's don't always come true, because I love you doesn't always cut it.
