I finally stopped running at a clearing in the woods. I put my hands in my palms and just started to cry. Thinking about my mother was just to much. It hurt to remember my cousin, my grandma, and her.

I haven't seen my grandma since we put her in the nursing home two years ago. Only God knows how she doing. She could have dementia she could be exactly the same who knows!

I kept crying till I heard the leaves crunching under feet.

"Megan!" A voice cried out. It sounded like Joey.

"I'm over here Joey!" I screamed back

"Where's over here?!"

"In the clearing!" I screamed then dropped my face back into my palms.

"What happened back there?" He asked in a sweet voice while putting his hand on my back.

"It was nothing. I just started thinking about my Mom." I said while getting up off the ground.

"Sorry to ask but what happened to your mom?" He asked.

I looked at my shoes knowing I couldn't avoid this question. "She died." I said dryly. I didn't want him to hear the emotion in my voice.

"Oh... Let's go back to Billy." He said putting his arm around my shoulder and forcing me to walk. I really didn't want to go back to the fort but I didn't want to fight either so I just walked with Joey.

We finally reached the fort and Billy had a fire started right outside of it.

"Ya found her." Billy said looking at us. We walked up to the fire and he took his arm off my shoulder and sat down on the log. I sat down next to him.

I grabbed a stick off the ground and started to poke at the fire and we didn't say a word.

It was starting to get dark out and we had all climbed up a tree. We were at the top of a tall tree watching the sun set. I know it's not usual you find a bad girl who likes sunsets but I do.

When the sunset was over we climbed down the tree and started on our way back to the school. We finally reached their and it was almost pitch dark.

We walked to our rooms, said goodnight at the doors, and disappeared.

The next morning I woke up to a knock on the door. I threw my tangled brown hair into a messy bun. I took one quick look in the mirror then opened the door.

"Morning girly." Said a boy standing in my door. He had brown hair that was in a buzz cut. He was pretty tall about six foot. He looked down at me and smiled. He looked familiar but I wasn't sure who he was.

"Its me Jaxs." Right when he said his name I freaked out and hugged him. It was my cousin! Then one I used to build the forts with, hand out with, do every thing with.

I finally pulled away from the hug. "Its so good to see you Jaxs! I missed you so much!"

"You too. So ya still a little trouble maker?"

"You know it." I said flopping down on my bed. "So ya heard anything about Grandma lately?" I asked because of was honestly truly curious.

"Oh yeah. She's doing good. I mean she's starting to come down with dementia, but that's normal for people her age." He smiled at me. "So found any friends?"

"Uh... yeah I guess you could call 'em friends. Only two people Joey Trotta and Billy Tepper."

He started laughing then got really serious. "Stay away from them. Okay now listen Billy biggest player in the school. Joey partner in crime of Billy. There huge trouble makers together and they'll bring you down with them." He told me then left.

I could see Billy as a player and Joey as a little bit of a trouble maker but are they really that bad?

A/N
