Chapter Theme: Fifth Harmony - Reflection

Lauren awoke on a small loveseat. She had a pounding headache. Last night was killer, she thought to herself. Sitting up, she pulled her long locks into a messy ponytail. She got up from the seat and walked to find the aspirin.

Finding some in the kitchen, she threw them back with a tad bit of water. She shook her head a bit, because the pills hit the back of her throat. Setting the glass down on the counter, she went back to the loveseat and picked up her laptop. Since today was Wednesday, she was going to Skype the girls.

Setting up Skype, she adjusted the toy webcam and smiled at her reflection. She thought back to the days where they were on tour. All those cramped days, packed with compliments from her devoted fans. She missed those days horribly. She wondered if any of the other girls missed them too.

The first person to appear was Ally. As always, she looked heavenly. It looked as if her skin got better with age. Her hair was lighter than last week.

"Allycat," Lauren greeted with a kind smile. Ally smiled heartedly. Lauren always thought that Ally was the most heartfelt and truthful member of the group. She secretly admired Ally for all of those outstanding qualities.

"Lo! You look wonderful. Did you just get up?" Ally asked, giving Lauren a small smirk. Lauren looked down at her attire. She realized she didn't change when she got up. She laughed at her mistake and Ally joined in. Suddenly, they got another request from another member of the disbanded group. Ally accepted and looked at Lauren a bit more. She noticed a scar above her eyebrow. And her piercing green eyes never grew old.

"Hey y'all!" Dinah exclaimed, excited to see her old best friends. Dinah had cut her hair shorter. It was nape lengthed and was a dusky blonde color. Lauren thought it fit her well.

"What's on the agenda, D Mac?" Lauren asked, pulling her hair tie out of her hair. Her black locks fell down and cascaded her face.

"I'm going to meet Kordei later! That's why she might not answer your calls. She's most likely going to be packing," Dinah exclaimed hurriedly.

"But what about you Lo? How old are you again? 31? And you look like how you were at boot camp," The Polynesian paused, thoroughly studying Laurens face. She also noticed the scar that was plotted on her brow bone.

"Babe, you are looking absolutely stunning. If Camila could see you right now-," Dinah stopped at her last sentence, realizing what was coming out of her mouth. She studied Laurens face. Lauren sighed at the mention of her name.

"Oh my God, I'm so fucking sorry Lauren. I didn't realize what I was saying. I was trying to give you a compliment. I'm sorry," Dinah apologized quickly. Lauren nodded, whilst Ally stayed still, watching the conversation between the girls carefully.

"No it doesn't matter. Really, whatever Dinah, it's perfectly fine," Lauren choked out. Ally tried to read Laurens thoughts, but as always there was a barrier around her mind. Lauren continued, clearing her throat, "Anyway, I appreciate all of that Dinah, but I think we should discuss more pressing matters. I'm losing my charm."

"Lo, you'll never loose that Jauregui charm," Ally said excitedly. Dinah laughed at Allys amusement.

"Oh yeah? Then, how come I haven't had a girlfriend since X Factor? Tell me Allyson, how do you explain that?" Lauren inquired, making Dinah laugh.

"You're lying, Lern. I can tell. Spill the beans," Ally spoke, making Lauren scoff dramatically.

"Fine, I had a handful of one night stands, but only one stood out," Lauren explained. Dinah clapped her hands, signaling for Lauren to continue.

"Well, she is 27, has a beautiful smile, and is a brunette. I met her at a gay bar. Surprisingly, she hit on me. I took her home and well, you know," Both Ally and Dinah smirked at what Lauren had said. Lauren shook it off and continued. "But, afterwards, she actually stayed with me. I haven't had one girl to stay after sex, since Camila," Lauren paused. She looked taken aback. What she had said was absolutely true. After sex, she told the girls they had to go, because she couldn't let someone sleep on that side of the bed. Camilas side, of course.

"Lauren, she's a keeper if you let her sleep on that side of the bed," Dinah applauded, happy that Lauren finally found someone that could mend her wounds.

"I totally agree with the Polynesian. Go get her, Jauregui," Ally encouraged. Lauren giggled, shaking her head.

"You two are something else," Lauren shook her head in disbelief at her friends. They both stuck their tongues out at her.

"You know what, guys? I think that she may be the replacement. I'm so content with her. She is not like anyone else, I tell you. She's other worldly. And I don't think she'll cheat on me," Lauren said. The girls were silent. Lauren realized that they didn't know whether to laugh or console her. So she laughed, to ease their discomfort.

"That's fucking great Lo, I'm so glad to see you get over her. I mean it, you deserve someone that will aid you, not someone who will break you. Whoever can do that, deserves you," Ally said. Lauren blew kisses to the screen.

Suddenly, Laurens alarm clock went off. She glanced at it. It read: 11:30 A.M. Lauren shut it off, because it was playing Who Are You. For some odd reason that song reminded her immensely of Camila.

"Guys, I've gotta go to work," Lauren stated. The girls understood. Ally said goodbye and signed off.

"Well, alright Lo, I'll catch you later. Bye babe," Dinah said. Lauren waved and signed off.

She got up and ran down to her bedroom. She was an architect, fresh out of college. After Fifth Harmony disbanded, Lauren decided that she'd take up what she'd always wanted to do. She had a passion for beauty, especially in architectural structures. She had a keen eye for flawless things, that's why she had been so attracted to Camila Cabello. She thought that Camila was the most flawless being to walk this Earth, but sadly she was mistaken.

Combing her long, black hair, she applied mascara. She decided that she'd dress up a bit, because why not? She pulled on a tight black dress. And 2" stilettos to match. She straightened her hair, so it ended at her lower back. Also, she applied red lipstick, which was personally her favorite.

After she was done primping, she eyed herself in her long mirror. She hummed Reflection to herself, while swaying slightly. She thought that today was going to be a great, refreshing day, but she would soon find out that it'd be quite the contrary.

hey guys! i decided on writing fan fiction! this is a first for me, so please be gentle with me. Anyway, this story is sort of hard to write, so i might not update as much (y'all can blame school for that as well). to be honest though, i don't exactly know what my intentions are for this fic. i have a few ideas, but none are for certain. don't be upset if i decide to end this, bc it'll most likely resurface again. idk.

be good to yourselves
