Chapter 19:

It was 3 o'clock in the morning, although the party was not yet done, Jihyo being a teacher who usually finishes her lesson plan early, was already sleepy. It was only 10 o'clock even when she started getting sleepy.

Even though rejected, Jongin was still a gentleman to give her a ride home - especially when we're talking about the lady who captured his heart. Nothing would change. Even when his eomma got mad at him for leaving in the middle of the party for the first time ever, he was not about to let Jihyo go home by herself. Yes, although Jongin hated his parents to their guts, he was never to be known as a disrespectful guy. Which was why he always attended the annual parties.

But now that he has had the guts to. The entire ride with Jihyo was awkward.

"Gomawo." She mumbles before getting out the car. She waited until her student drove away, waving the entire time but not smiling so genuinely as her head was still a little bit fuzzed by the kiss. Not even knowing how she would handle future encounters with the student.

Jihyo turns around to face her apartment's gate, grabbing her keys from her purse. She fumbled around with a bunch of them before she got the right one to unlock her the gate, eager to rest her restless eyes.

Just as she was about to thrust in the key into the keyhole, she felt a hand push a piece of damp fabric on her face from behind. She tried to scream, but only muffled sounds were heard through the cloth. She punched the air in front of her as an attempt to escape, but whoever was holding her did not have a strength of a regular woman so she assumed it was a man. Without being able to see her attacker, she was slowly enveloped by darkness...

-

"Bwoyaaah? What do you mean she's not here?!" Jongin angrily asks when the annoying school doctor answered he didn't know a thing, "Are you hiding her from me?"

"Why would I hide something that's not mine to begin with? Why not call her cell?" Jongsuk calmly answers, flipping through new students' information to study them.

"Ya! You have a point..." Jongin calms down for a bit, "but I've already called her a bunch of times and she never answered. No, she answered once but she didn't even talk. It was filled with awkward silence with only me talking and occassional irregular breathing in the other line... So I thought she was sick and she would be here!"

"Maybe she doesn't want to talk to you at all. Why are you bugging her anyways? Why not be satisfied with me?" Jongsuk fake flirted, but then he changed when he saw Jongin's expression, "Oh my god. You guys are together."

"The fuck, how would you know?"

"A guy would never look like a lost puppy unless they are dating somebody." Jongsuk's words filled Jongin's head.

"Good reasoning. You're wrong though..." Jongin sits down on one of the neat beds, remembering what happened last night, "I just got rejected. Can you believe that? Everybody wants Kai. And she easily rejected me."

"You sound like such a brat right now," Jongsuk laughs, "Aaah~ what a good laugh, Jihyo never did change."

"What do you mean by she never changed?" Jongin raises an eyebrow.

Just then, the doors to the infirmary bangs loudly as it was quickly opened, revealing a flustered looking Kim Minseok who was using his hand to block the microphone of his phone, "KAI! The number answered."

All this time, his friends were helping him contact Jihyo's phone with their own cellphone numbers, all of them skipping classes to stay in their spot and help their friend and master.
