Chapter 21:

It's been four days after Jihyo was kidnapped by Jae-bom and his gang, yet Jongin didn't keep his promise of telling her what was going on.

She feels upset while walking through the hall in school, she thought that Jongin was better than that. But she guesses not.

She steps back in her classroom, walking straight to her desk and places her face inside both of her hands. "Ugh!"

"What's bugging you ajumma?" Her head immediately shoots up as she hears the familiar voice.

There, on his regular seat in an empty classroom, was Jongin.

"W-what are you doing here?" Jihyo askes surprised.

"What kind of question is that?" Jongin threw back, a bit offended. "You're my next period remember?"

"Ah." Jihyo face palms as she remembers it's fourth period the next period.

"So what's bugging you?" Jongin asks again.

"I won't tell until you keep your promise." Jihyo answer.

Jongin sighs, "Araso. I'll pick you up at your house?"

Jihyo couldn't help but smile, 'at least he didn't forget about the promise.'

-

"Hurry up ajumma! The bus is about to be at the stop already, you're so slooow." Jongin drawled, calling Jihyo from the living room.

"Yes yes!" Jihyo answers cheerfully, ignoring his annoying attitude of making a woman hurry up and immediately coming out from her room.

Jongin's jaw suddenly dropped as she saw Jihyo in a different light.

She was wearing a pink flowy dress under a white oversized cardigan, her hair up in a top-bun. As if the bun was not enough, she put two headbands to keep all of her hair away from her face that had subtle hints of make-up here and there. Yes, subtle. It was not caked up on her beautiful face and the slight make-up made her look much younger.

Looking younger than her student if it was possible.

Jihyo smiles, skipping towards where he was standing, satisfied of how the student reacted. She got one of her hands to force shut his mouth, "I thought we're going to be late? What are you standing there for?"

Jongin recovers and blushes, grabbing Jihyo's hand and walking in front of her to hide his embarrassed look.

After the long bus ride, they arrived to a peaceful looking park that is huge. Jongin told her it would take them at least an hour of walking before they can reach the other end.

They settled for one of the octagonal shaped picnic tables for now, but instead of sitting on a different bench, Jongin sat closely to Jihyo that their shoulders touched.

"J-Jongin, we can't eat like this." She gave a little giggle at the student's silliness, successfully concealing the uncomfortable feeling their close proximity was giving her.

"A-ah." Jongin sounded disappointed, but he still did scoot over before passing her a sealed bowl that contained Bibim Naengmyeon.

Her eyes sparkled at the sight of cold buckwheat noodles swimming in red sauce, "Ah, eotteokhae, I didn't bring anything."

"Gwenchanha, I got everything." Jongin chuckled at the sight of her looking at the food so preciously always made him laugh.

"Yay! Jal moke get sum nida!" She happily peels off the plastic wrap, letting the aroma of the dish come out and straight into her nostrils. She eagerly breaks off the disposable wooden chopsticks that Jongin brought and mixed the noodles around, making sure no spot was left without being touched by the sauce.
