Jihyo woke up for a start, having a hard time opening her eyes, and she noticed she was not in her room. She had thought of the worst.. Expecting whoever had assaulted her had left her in some kind of hotel where she has to pay herself out of, the worse kind of shame.
But then she felt a hand on hers from behind, and that was when her heartbeat had hitched. She held her breath to slowly turn and look. And had sighed in relief when she saw Jongin's hand on hers.
She saw him sitting on a stool right beside the bed, their only body contact were their hands. Feeling warmth through his touch.
Jihyo decided to watch her lover sleep for a little while, oddly feeling disappointed that he did not sleep beside her when the bed was big enough for two - even three - people.
Now, she had all the time in the world to observe Jongin's face closely. He had his almond-shaped eyes softly closed, and his strongly-structured nose was breathing regularly. His plump lips had a reddish tint to it, and just below, he had a slightly carved cleft chin that was absolutely cute for Jihyo.
His bleached hair was softly touching him by the face, his roots were a dark color already and begging to either be bleached again or get a haircut. Either way, Jihyo was curious as to how her boyfriend would look like with darker hair.
"Love what you're seeing?" Came Jongin's voice, which shocked Jihyo for a bit.
Although he did not open his eyes, Jihyo did see the smirk that lingered on his face. She smiled in response.
Without hearing a verbal answer, Jongin was forced to open his eyes and worrily look at his lover. When he saw her smiling, he breathed normally again.
He sat up straight, taking his free hand - making sure that the other one did not let go of Jihyo's - and laying it on her head and softly patting her. There were no voices in the room, but they were communicating.
Through their eyes, they communicated.
It started with an apology, from both sides and both accepted.
Both admitted to acting immaturely by fighting about something so trivial, and could not even believe that they almost broke it off.
Now that Jong-in thinks about it, he could not believe those words came out of his mouth yesterday. He just remembers that his mind blanked out and his mouth could not be controlled from spouting things he half-heartedly meant.
He just wanted Ji-hyo to understand how important she is to him, how much he wants her safe and secure.
And now that Ji-hyo thinks about it, if she did not try anything funny, she would not have been in that situation yesterday. She would not even shed a tear if he just followed what her lover had wanted, for her to be with somebody every minute of the day.
At one point, Ji-hyo forgot that he was even involved in gang-related things. Because it did not matter to her.
For her, he was Jong-in, her student and her lover.
When people ask her who he is, she would not answer with, "Oh, he's my boyfriend, a leader of a gang."
No, she would simply say he's the love of her life.
Tears were forming in Jihyo's eyes, all emotions of anguish had overwhelmed her and she had started to breathe heavily again.
Once the tears started dropping, Jong-in's eyes had been swimming in worry that she might black out again because of the stress this whole situation is giving Ji-hyo.
The problem was, Jong-in still does not have a clue on what is going on.
He did not have any time to ask last night because of the sudden fainting, and he did not want to know it from any other else than her. This time, he would only listen and believe her words.
