It has been six blissful months of marriage. Nothing could ever be more wonderful than coming home to Yugi and his beaming face every day. Only this time I wonder just how he will react to what I am bringing with me.
Seth had been working on discovering a way to grant my request. In all other ways it would have been considered impossible, but he somehow found a way. My priest found another way to impress me. I smile down at the bundles in my arms. I only hope that Yugi will be just as thrilled as I am.The lights in the living room are glowing through the darkness as I walk up the driveway. There is a flash of movement across the window as Yugi rushes to the door. He throws open the door and smiles at me from the doorway.
"You're home!" He says happily before his eyes drift down towards my arms. "What do you have there?"
"Before I show you, I would like to explain." I say sheepishly as I walk past him.
"What's happened?" Yugi asks suspiciously as I take a seat, my bundles cradled securely in my arms.
"I made a request to Seth." I smile at Yugi. "Yugi, I wanted to have a family and he was able to grant my request by combining attributes of our souls together."
"S-so y-you have our-"
"Would you like to see our children?"
"Yami." He cries softly as he pulls back the blanket covering the babies' sleeping faces. One baby opens his eyes and peers up at Yugi. His tan skin standing out in stark contrast to his sister's pale skin. Our son peers up at Yugi with identical amethyst eyes. Tears stream down Yugi's cheeks as he pulls our son into his arms. He nuzzles him into his neck as he cooes at the little version of me. "Can we name him Atemu?" He whispers through his tears as our son plays with a stray strand of Yugi's hair.
"Anything you would like my love." I respond softly as I cradle our daughter. Her crimson eyes peer up at me curiously as Yugi's iconic bang dangles on her forehead. "Shall we name this little one Heba?" She smiles at the sound of my voice as she snuggles closer. Her reddish purple hair glowing in the light.
"I like that name." Yugi giggles through Atemu's reddish purple locks..
"Are you happy love?"
"Unbearably happy." He admits with a goofy smile as he takes my hand in his. "Thank you."
"Now we truly are a family." I reply as I gently tap Heba's nose. She giggles cutely at my action and Yugi smiles down at our daughter.
"They are so perfect." Yugi kisses me gently. My heart flutters in my chest as I relish in this moment. The gods have granted me many mercies but none as great as this. My family has given me purpose and I have Yugi to thank for that. My blessed Aibou. I will always love and protect you just as I will our children. Forever and for always.
