Hiding

"What?" My boyfriend asked me in puzzlement. Then I started to sob as Gomez stopped the waltz.
     "Gomez my Mother's trying to marry me off to someone else!" I cried as he took me to him. Gomez wasn't mad... He wasn't even the tiniest bit jealous. Instead he spoke to me in his kind and
Lovely tone.
    "Well then... If your Mother is trying to compete with me..." He started with a laugh. "I'm going to have to propose first..." My heart skipped a beat as Gomez told me his plan.
     "What?" I asked him as he gave me another smile. Then Gomez kissed me as he slipped a ring on my finger. I never stopped crying but now the tears were from joy!
Then my finance pulled me over to the couch and we sat down together as he held me. "We are going to be so happy together Carda Mia..." He whispered to me.
I smiled at the thought of Gomez and I together as husband and wife.
"Oh Gomez..."
All of the sudden a knock came on the door... You should have seen how high I jumped! Gomez tried to get me out of hiding as another knock hit the door.
"Quedria... I'm sure it's not who you think it is..."
"Morticia Frump! Come out of that house this instant! Morticia it's mother come out now!" Gomez gave a gulp as he pulled me up.
"Okay... Maybe it is... But we can face her together!"
Gomez lead me to the door with full confidence I wish sometimes I had the same amount of courage.
     "Stay calm.." He whispered to me. Then the door opened... Revealing my enraged mother and a man!
