In Na froze. She must have fainted for she suddenly felt that everything blacked out and air seems to have left her. Hyun Woo felt In Na limp and suddenly fell into his arms. He took her into his arms and laid her to the sofa. He held her hands and waited for In Na to regain consciousness. She must have been shocked, and that’s an understatement. After a few minutes, he felt her stirring and when he looked at her, tears are streaming on her face and she was uncontrollably sobbing. Hyun Woo tried to offer comfort but she pushed her away.
“Don’t touch me! Go away! Don’t…bloody touch me or I’ll scream!”
Hyun Woo sat at the other sofa, his hands on his face. “In Na…”
“How dare you tell me that! after 2 years! 2 years I struggled, I felt lost, I don’t have anyone! And then… you! you just left me like that!”
“In Na, you’re the one who left me! When I woke up, you were not there! I asked around! Richard said he didn’t know you and gave me a lot of excuses. Even when I was in the military I asked Ji Hoon to look for you! If I was not entering the military.. I would, I would have looked until the end of the earth for you.”
In Na just laid there, still crying. “I… why are you telling me now? Why didn’t you tell me before I did it again?!”
Hyun Woo knelt beside the sofa and held In Na’s hand. “I didn’t know! How could I?It was dark in that room! I didn’t recognize your voice! When we made love last night…and you ask me not to leave you…for me to stay inside you…I had my suspicions. That was very familiar…and your smell… it took me back to that time in Richard’s. It was only earlier when I was talking to Eun Hye…”
In Na sat up. “Eun Hye told you?”
“We were talking about you and Ji Hoon. she said you don’t want to give your heart yet until you knew who is Jin Ae’s dad… so I asked. And she said that it was someone she met in Richards that summer 2 years ago. When she said that, it hit me in the gut. Maybe that’s why when I met Jin Ae, she… we feel comfortable with each other instantly…she’s very beautiful, In Na..”
“I didn’t expect… I didn’t know I was fertile that night… I just want to have fun… I didn’t…”
Hyun Woo kissed her lips slowly, as if memorizing it. ” We made passionate love that night. It was magical…and beautiful. I had that memory through out the years, In Na.It kept me going. It kept me warm. And finding out it was you… I almost jumped at the dance floor.” In Na looked at him intently and sighed.She started to get up from the sofa but Hyun Woo knelt in front of her, forced her to sit again, his arms kept her from standing up. He looked at her intently,
“Are you… regretting that I am Jin Ae’s father?”
In Na shook her head. “No it’s just that…”
“Do you love Ji Hoon?Are you going to answer his feelings?” Hyun Woo answered bitterly.
In Na raised an eyebrow. “Do you think I’m that kind of person? How could i?When I knew who’s the father of my child?”
“Then why…”
In Na tried to get up but Ji Hyun still held her with his arms on both of her sides, face closed to hers and lips much closer. In Na couldn’t think coherently, with their position.
“I just don’t know what to do! Here you are, after 2 years, and I suddenly been throw into the fact that I have the father of my child here, after 2 years of searching and I suddenly don’t know what to do with that fact!”
HYun Woo’s heart melted. “Aw, love, I’m sorry. I know this is all a shock to you, and I’m not forcing my self on you. I just want you to know that I am here if you need me,just next door. I could take care of Jin Ae, of both of you. If you don’t want me around i could disappear. Just knowing that Jin Ae is my daughter… I hope you don’t remove that right to me.”
It was In Na’s heart’s turn to melt. “how? How would we do this? I mean, people would know…”
“Let’s just take this one step at a time okay? For a start, let’s just take this slow.”
And then he kissed her. He gently pushed her to the couch, he on top of her, but bodies not touching. He opened his eyes and looked at her catching her looking at him. She was smiling widely and in his heart, he is hoping that they will be okay, that things will be okay with them. He kissed her again and this time, he kissed her with passion uncomparable to the first time he made love with her. She laughed and pulled away. Hyun Woo placed her hair at the back of her ear and kissed her along her jaw. Electricity started to simmer between them and In Na has no strength to push him away. “Hyun Woo, there’s no slowing when you did that.” So when she stopped laughing he took her lips on his again and she wrapped her lips on his waist, urging him to go on top of her. When he removed her tshirt, his eyes were dancing. “Yeah, you’re right. There’s no slowing us when it comes to this.Are you sure about this?”
“Argh. Stop talking and come here.”
Music could be heard outside, the laughing, gaiety and festivity surrounds them but between them, only moans could be heard.
