I woke up to see Marco and Julio at my beside. I appeared to be in the infirmary.
"Romeo your awake!" Marco cried out. Julio rushed to my side and held my hand. "Oh thank God your okay." He muttered as he kissed my forehead. "Father Delano has already conducted an exorcism so why ever you collapsed in church is gone now." Marco informed me.
My head shot up. An exorcism? why? "I didn't need an exorcism I was fine." I tried to shout but my throat was too dry. I felt very offended.
"Shh Romeo." Julio whispered in my ear. Chills rocketed down my spine. "You should rest." I turned and looked at Marco. " Can we have a moment alone for a second?" I asked. he looked confused then nodded and left.
"Julio that kiss didn't help me to stop loving you. I have fallen deeper in love with you." I muttered loud enough for him to hear but no one else. His whole body began to shake as tears poured out from his eyes. " O Romeo, I thought I had lost you. I tried to distance myself from you but I can't. I honestly and truly can't." His head was lying on my stomach. "I love you too Romeo and it will be hard but we will be together."
He lifted himself up and squeezed my hand tightly."I promise you." He then put his hands on each side of my face and kissed me ever so passionately. I kissed him back.
Our tongues where dancing to the beat of our hearts. My right hand ran down his spine to rest on his waist as my left hand held his shoulder. I brought myself to the very edge of my bed to get closer to him. It was just me and him until we both heard footsteps and both pushed each other back. Sister Helena pranced in.
"Ah Romeo, Your awake. So I have a few questions to ask. Is that okay?" she chirped. I nodded. "Do you have any of the following symptoms: Nausea , Dizziness, head pains, chest pains, sore throat, migraines or any irritation?" she said rather quickly that I didn't catch most of it. I guessed and shook my head. "No sister, I'm okay." I said with a friendly smile.
"Prefect well you'll be fine to go in an hour for dinner so, although I suggest you eat lightly. If you want your friends can go now." She chirped. " Actually I want them to stay if that's alright and could you get Marco and tell him to come in again please." I asked while glaring at Julio as he fixed himself in his chair. "Certainly." She turned on her heel and left the room. A moment later Marco bounded in.
The three of us laughed and talked for what felt like only five minutes but was in fact an hour because the nurse came in. "Dinner boys." She announced and we all left the infirmary to go to the Dinning hall.
When we entered and everyone was staring at us. Mostly me. They were all whispering. We weren't sure why. The three of us took a seat beside Isaac.
Isaac was a rather weak boy and many used this to their advantage. He didn't have many friends and was constantly getting sick one way or another. He is the brother of seven and is a twin. He is also, well, the runt. He nearly died at birth, because of this his Parents brought him to this Orphanage. Honestly we are all surprised he is still alive today after the amount of times he has been hospitalized. His immune system despises him. He has huge bulging eyes and thin stringy hair. His skin is quiet pale for an Italian.
As we sat beside him his head snapped down to try and avoid eye contact. Everyone stopped looking at us and returned to their meals. " So Isaac hows your food?" I asked politely. His eyes flashed at me then back to his plate as he remained silent. "Isaac, I believe My friend has asked you a question and you should answer it." Marco beckoned aggressively. " I'm sorry it's good the food is good do you want it here have it I'm sorry!" Isaac squealed. His little scrawny body was quivering. "No... No I don't want it I just wanted to ask you why is everyone whispering and staring at me." I said once again politely. "Well um I mean t-that you ... Well collapsed in church, no? I-I mean in Gods house it must've meant he was trying to.. push out sin or a demon r-right?" He shook as he spoke. He was terrified. "No I was just tired plus I didn't eat all day." I rebutted. " Yes of course my bad. Apologies." He responded.
I couldn't believe it. They all believe I was possessed? How could they? Such madness.
The only thing that has possessed me is love.
