Chapter 15

Hinata's Pov :-

After I make certain that Naruto falls asleep I turn around to face Sasuke and Gaara.

"We have to put an end to this. Arguments and foul mouthing each other could be beared but this, Toneri is trying to kill Naruto-kun. And who knows, if Gaara- kun had arrived at the scene a minute later, he would have..." I shiver at the thought.

"Arigato, Gaara-kun."

"It's okay, but you are right. This has to be stopped. He looked so bad and helpless when I found him which was so unlike him by how much I know him. I couldn't recognise him and with all that blood..."

"I will kill Toneri." Sasuke says staring at me. "....then there will be no problem."

"No, Sasuke-kun! Even my reaction was similar but after Naruto-kun's reaction...." I drift off at the thought of his reaction.

I snap out of it and look at Sasuke.

"I think that killing him and having his blood on our hands will haunt us for the rest of our lives. I think we should talk to Tsunade-sama so she can expel him and he will be forced to go out of our lives and we can give him a few farewell punches and kicks on shin."

Everyone stares at me and finally Sakura says

"You can be really scary Hinata. You can skewer Toneri but you will not because Naruto doesn't want this. This is like unbelievable and weirdly, very romantic."

"I understand now why Naruto likes you." Gaara says smiling.

"Yeah, that dobe is lucky to have you. Someone who is smart, unlike him and knows what to do."

I blush a little at their comments but manage to speak up.

"It's really late now. You all should go back and rest. I will wait here, if you don't mind Ayame-chan."

"Of course you can! I don't want him arguing with me for not letting his girl stay." she says with a smile at which I give a short smile not knowing what else to do.

After everyone left, I go back to where Naruto was sleeping and sat beside him staring at his handsome face and think about how much he
had to suffer because of me....

I am the cause of his problems and suffering.

"No you are not." Naruto opens his eyes and tries to sit up.

"You were awake? And how did you read my mind?" I help him sit up.

"Yes. And I don't read minds. You were just voicing your thoughts aloud." Naruto says with a smile.

He takes my hand in his.
"Hinata, never ever think that this was in anyway, your fault. Toneri and my rivalry go way beyond the fact that you are dating me, I mean fake dating. Anyway point is, I humiliated him in front of everyone.

"Because of me...."

His sudden hug startles me.

"No, maybe yes.... but Toneri is just jealous of me, okay. It's not your fault Hinata... Well actually it maybe indirectly. I mean I am dating the most gorgeous girl in school." He grins. I manage a small smile but I say it anyway.

"Naruto-kun, you hit him because of me and he was humiliated and then this happened.

"So what do you expect Hinata? He misbehaves with you and I stand their doing nothing. For god's sake, Hinata, you are my friend and I would do this for anyone. No girl deserves to be treated like that. If you still think that this is your fault, I will not talk to you ever...."
