What Ever Happened to Screech?

**Zack POV**
The buffet was held in the ballroom of the hotel Kelly and I happened to stay at. Pure coincidence I guess. Kelly made me get up super early since it was held during breakfast. We were there for a mere 15 minutes when Kelly told me she needed to use the restroom. I was by myself when I saw screech sitting at a table alone. I always knew he was not as social, but I was hopeful that would've changed over time. Guess not.
I walked over to the table and sat next to screech, who was divulging himself in scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and chocolate syrup covered French toast. "Hey screech" I greeted, trying to be as friendly as possible. "Zack, finally it's about time you talked" screech said, looking up from his food to me. "Yeah sorry about that. Just had a lot on my mind I guess" I replied. "What happened to you, buddy? You look different"
He was right. And yet, so did he. His curly sue hairstyle was gone and replaced with this buzz cut type look and he had facial hair to top it off. He was almost un recognizable. At the same time, my hair color had changed to a dark brown, I had facial hair, and I looked like a totally different person. "Well thanks I guess. What have you been up to, screech? I haven't seen you in a while" I asked, hoping to change the subject from me to him. "Uh, well, i distribute video games" he said, giving a very vague answer to a really simple question. "What kind of video games?"
"Ah, well, y'know, just the average, graphic, interactive type games"
I wasn't sure whether or not to believe him, but, knowing screech, chose to believe his words. I couldn't imagine screech doing anything less than what he was saying. I mean, what could he have to hide? Most likely nothing.
We began talking about different, more generalized things. That's when we heard a crash and a high pitched scream from behind us. We turned our heads to see Lisa having a meltdown. She was acting like a crazy person. And not in the usual Lisa turtle way. But in a completely insane-out-of-her-freaking-mind kind of way. She was throwing glass plates at the wall and screaming at random people who passed her. Screech and I looked at each other and got out of our seats to try and stop the madness Lisa was displaying.
As we were trying as hard as we could to try to calm Lisa down, Lisa kicked screech in the face and he fell to the floor like a rock. As I went to help my former friend, security finally came and "escorted" Lisa out of the room. "Screech, are you ok?" I asked, very concerned. "Yeah I guess" he responded, still pretty knocked out from the kick. His nose was bleeding and he seemed like he had a hard time breathing. Luckily, some security officers who stayed back came to assist him and try to get him up. "Don't worry about him, sir. We'll get him back to his room and make sure he's fine" one of the officers told me as two other security personals helped screech to his feet and guided him out of the ballroom. "Thank you officer. I really appreciate that" I said. "No problem. Just doing our job."

**Kelly POV**
When Zack came back to meet me back in out hotel room, he seemed very worried and upset. Then he told me what happened and I was so shocked. I always knew Lisa as a sweet girl who would never act out like this. The worst thing that girl would ever think of doing was maxing out her dad's credit card on shoes and clothes. This was beyond unbelievable.
After Zack went to go check on screech, I went to Jessie's room to see if she had any more information as to what might have happened. I only had to knock twice before Jessie opened the door and let me inside. "What's going on?" She asked me as she heated up a bottle for her son, who was playing with a toy train set on the other side of the room. "Zack just told me what happened with Lisa at breakfast this morning" I said. "Yeah I saw the commotion. After the boys stepped in and screech got kicked in the face, I came back here since sky was with me and I don't want him exposed to any sort of violence."
"I wondering if you had any sort if information as to why Lisa would act this way. Like what happened?"
"All I know is when I went to talk to her, she started talking in complete gibberish and staying things that made no sense. Then, all of a sudden, she flipped and I went to another table with sky. That's all I know."
Lisa is not the type of person to flip out for nothing. She doesn't just do this out of nowhere.
After I left Jessie's room, I went to visit Lisa's mom to see if he had anything that might explain her daughter's odd behavior. I got to the hospital, where thankfully mrs. Turtle still worked as a doctor, and was allowed access to see dr. Turtle in her office. I walked in and was greeted with a very radiant dr. Turtle in a black business dress and her white hospital jacket. "Kelly, it's so good to see you again" dr. Turtle welcomed me as she pulled me into a hug. I thanked her as she released me from her arms and we both sat down on her office couch. "So what brings you in?" She asked me. "I just wanted to ask you about Lisa. She was acting very unusual at breakfast this morning. I was told that she was speaking gibbering and making statements that made no sense. Then she just started screaming at people and had a big meltdown out of nowhere. Screech and Zack were there and tried to calm her down. Unfortunately, Lisa ended up kicking screech in the face while they were trying to help her. No one knows what happened and what may have made Lisa act this way. I was kind of hoping you would know something that could help me figure that out" I explained. Her face fell and she took my hand in a sympathetic manner. "Kelly, for the past few years, Lisa has been going through some major issues. It started with a few cosmetic procedures two years after she graduated college"
"What kind of procedures?"
"She had lip fillers, breast enhancements, a face lift, liposuction, and three different nose jobs. I allowed it at first because she was an adult and I thought she was capable of handling it emotionally. After the procedures, she did a few acting and modeling jobs. She was so happy. But three years ago, she started acting different. She starting getting angry at the slightest things and becoming increasingly violent. I took her to meet with one of my colleagues in the psychiatric ward so he can perform an evaluation on her. The results of that evaluation concluded that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder"
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Lisa turtle was bipolar. As a therapist, I knew what bipolar was and I've had to work with guests who were bipolar on multiple occasions. Some cases were fairly mild and some were very severe and unpredictable. From what I've seen and heard, Lisa's case seems to be a very severe one.
"How did Lisa react to the diagnosis?"
"Not too well. She said the doctors had no idea what they were talking about and claimed that her father and I were out to get her. We tried to get her help, but because she's an adult and hasn't committed any crimes, she's legally allowed to refuse the help she needs."
"Have you tried talking to her?"
"Yes but she refuses to listen. She's hell bent on this idea that she's the victim and everybody else is out to hurt her. And it's only gotten worse. Acting out, drinking, hanging out with the wrong people..."
"What do you mean that she's been hanging out with the wrong people?"
"Well, recently, she met this guy named Mike Green. At first, I thought he was a nice guy. Then I found out he was a gang member that has been arrested multiple times for threatening to intimidate and assaulting an old girlfriend. I begged Lisa to stay away from him. She refused. Mike told her everything she wanted to hear. Then, last year, I found out she married Mike in Las Vegas. I was so heartbroken and worried for her safety"
"Is she still with Mike?"
"Yes. As far as I know"
**Zack POV**
While Kelly was at the hospital talking to dr. Turtle, I decided to go over to screech's parents' house to try to get some more info on screech. He seemed fine when I checked on him, but there was still this nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach that something was up. I called mr and mrs powers ahead of time and they agreed to let me come over and talk to me regarding screech. Right now, I was on the couch, surrounded by the Elvis memorabilia his parents kept over the years and that I remember so fondly of from when screech, slater, and I stayed over while his parents were out on vacation and just goofed around. It was really great times we all had during high school. "So you wanna know about our Samuel, don't cha?" Mr. Powers asked. I nodded my head. "Well, Samuel told us he's directing online movies and tv shows" mrs. Powers said, seemingly so happy with her son. "Screech told me he develops video games" I said. Both of them laughed as if I was joking around. But I was not.
Screech was lying right to my face. If he lied to me, he definetly lied to his parents. What was going on with screech powers?
