Remus appeared with a pop a little way down from the Potter's place but even though he couldn't see the house he saw the smoke. Wait hang on a minute, Remus thought, where was the Dark Mark Dumbledore had said was there. He set off at a run towards the house that was currently a roaring fireball. He saw about a dozen Auroras around the place using spells to try and douse the flames, they weren't exactly being effective. Remus looked around in a panic, Where was Sirius?
Wait was that him; tall with long shoulder length hair as dark as the night itself. Yes it was, Remus could tell by how he was running round the place like a madman. Remus set off running again towards his lover.
Sirius was desperate now, he needed to get inside the building and down to the basement that James had just installed for Remus. It was his plan that when Sirius and the werewolf moved in after the war Remus could safely transform down there so he wouldn't have to keep going to Hogsmeade every full moon. Well now that plan was in flames; literally. but Sirius knew that there was a chance, just a slim one but a chance nonetheless of Prongs being smart enough to hide his family down there.
He turned around to go back round the front of the house when he saw Remus running frantically towards him.
"Sirius! Why did you run off like that? What are you doing?" Remus yelled half furiously half worryingly.
"Rem! The basement!" Sirius practically screamed in the other man's face. Remus looked at him, perplexed.
"What Sirius? What are you talking about? Come on lets go home." Remus lowered his voice considerably and he looked down at the floor. Sirius took both of his hands in his own.
"Moony, Prongs and Lily built a basement under the kitchen" Remus looked up now even more confused then before, Sirius ignored his boyfriend and carried on " For you, they were going to ask us to move in with the after the war. So it would be the five of us: you, me, Prongs, Lily and Harry; a proper family, our family." Remus' eyes widened and he stared at the man before him.
"We have to get in there." Remus said in a split second decision. Sirius looked at his lover.
"Well come on then."
