Chapter 13: Kylee?

(Next day, Friday)

I woke up this morning confused, just like the first time I stayed the night at Jaylin's house. I'm still not used to waking up in a different bed yet. Jaylin was still sleeping, though. I decided to get up and sit on the bed. I thought it was the perfect time to think about things. Things like how I would avoid Blair and stuff. Now that I know that she wasn't kidding, I have to be serious about this. In the middle of my planning, an alarm went off and startled me. Jaylin began to rise up out of his slumber and turned the alarm off.

Jaylin: (Yawn) Kylee, wake up.
Kylee: I'm up already.
Jaylin: (Confused) Kylee?
Kylee: Yes. I'm up.
Jaylin: Oh.
Kylee: (Chuckle)
Jaylin: Hey. Umm, just give me the uniform you had on yesterday. I'll do a quick wash so it won't be dirty.
Kylee: Ok. Thank you.
Jaylin: No problem.

I grabbed my uniform and gave them to Jaylin, like he told be to. He walks out the room to wash them, then I continued plotting.

Kylee: (Thoughts) Well, that other day was pretty easy... I barely even see her anyway............ Oh, crap! It's Friday! As in tomorrow starts the two days of hell! I can't stay at Jaylin's for the weekend! I'm going to die this weekend.
Jaylin: (Walks in room) Ok. So, your cloths will be washing for like another 5 minutes. Ok?
Kylee: Yeah.
Jaylin: I'm gonna get dressed.
Kylee: K. (Thoughts) Alright, don't get all gloomy around Jaylin. I don't want him to worry. But jeez. Five minutes? That's so short.

I sat there for about 3 minutes, when he walked back in the room.

Jaylin: About 2 more minuets left.
Kylee: Alright.

(School time)

The usual happened. We walked to school, parted for 1st-4th period, met at lunch period, parted for 6th and 7th, and walked home together. I went to my home and he went to his. I went into my shack I call my "house" and did homework. After I was done my homework, I hid. I knew Blair was gonna come. I'm not going to make the mistake of staying out in the open. But guess what? About 10 minutes after I got home, I heard Blair calling out my name. I honestly thought he died from jumping out that window, but now I know she didn't.

Blair: Kylee?!?! Are you here?
(Silents)
Blair: I know you're here!
(Silents)
Blair: You can't hide forever! Don't forget, we go to the same school. I'm leaving. (Walks away)
Kylee: (Thoughts) Phew! She is gone... I hope.

(Night time)

In my little shack, I do have a bed, table, fridge, and a coal burner thingy for cooking. I would usually catch fish in the pond next to my home. I went outside to catch something, but 7 minutes later, I see Blair coming towards me. I thought she left! She must have came back.

Blair: Kylee. I know you can't go to Jaylin's house. I heard you talking at lunch. You can't run!
Kylee: Just leave me alone!

I started to panic. Without thinking, I ran into the shack and slammed the door shut. Blair took out a knife and ran to the door. To hold it shut, my back was against it with force.

Blair: Come on, Kylee! Open the door!
Kylee: Leave!
Blair: (Laughs)
Kylee: Blair, I'm serious!

Blair lifts up her knife and stabs the door.

Kylee: (Screams)
Blair: (Pulls knife out of door)

When the knife went through the door, it stabbed me right in the shoulder. When she pulled the knife out the door, it was bloody.

Blair: (Looks surprised) Wow! I actually got you?
Kylee: (Groaning) Blair, please stop...
Blair: Get away from Jaylin!
Kylee: Blair-
Blair: What?
Kylee: (Silence)
Blair: Kylee?
(More Silence)
