(Next Day, Tuesday)
It's time to go to school and I am terrified! I'm going to try to avoid him the whole day, anyways. Usually we walk together to school, but I left a little earlier then usual. I ended up not seeing him and I was so relieved! Now, the tricky part: school.
Period 1-4 I didn't see him at all, but lunch came and hit me in the face. HARD! I see him sitting at the bench outside were we always meet to eat lunch. I stare at him behind a wall... My heart beating so loud that I think I heard it. I was feeling tingly and anxious. What do I do?
Someone behind me walk up to me and taps me on the shoulder.
Kylee: (Scream)
Girl: Hey, chill!
Kylee: ..........
Girl: What are you doing?
Kylee: Ermmm....
I lost control of myself! I RAN!
Jaylin: Kylee?
He knows I'm there. I guess when I screamed, but I mean come on, that was scary! I was so focused on him. Well now guess what? He started chasing after me!
Jaylin: Kylee, please wait!
Kylee: (Stops)
Jaylin: (Catches up to Kylee) What's the matter with you?
Kylee: Nothing...
Jaylin: You won't even look me in the eye. Did- did I do something?
Kylee: No... Yes! I don't know, J!
Jaylin: Tell me! If I don't know, I will keep doing it.
Kylee: This is just so new to me...
Jaylin: What is it?
Kylee: This.
Jaylin: What?
Kylee: Friendship, best friends, love...
Jaylin: Love?
Kylee: ......
Jaylin: Kylee-
(Bell ring)
Kylee: I need to go to 6th period.
Jaylin: No! Wait, please!
I felt bad for just leaving him there like that, but I was too scared.
Kylee: (Talking to self) This is ridiculous! Why am I falling apart over a boy? They're just things that eat, breath, and sleep. Just like girls!
I never got why people date. What changes? It's just a best friend that you call a different name. I just can't believe I put Jaylin through all that today.
(7th Bell Rings)
As I'm walking home, I hear foot steps running towards me. When they got really close I step aside to see Jaylin fly past me straight to his face. He was going to jump on me I guess?
Kylee: What are you doing?
Jaylin: (Groans) I was gonna jump on your back...
Kylee: That's was I thought...
Jaylin: (Groans in pain)
Kylee: Oh. Uhh, do you need help?
Jaylin: Well, I don't know? DUHH!
Kaylee: (Helps him up the floor)
As I helped him up, I grabbed hold of his hand so I can pull him up... My heart pounding, my body getting this tingly feeling, and I'm getting more and more anxious.
Kylee: (Blushes and looks at the ground)
Jaylin: Thanks- What's wrong now?
Kylee: (Keeps looking at the ground)
Jaylin: What were you talking about earlier in the hall at lunch period?
Kylee: I LOVE YOU, J!!
Jaylin: W-what?
Kylee: Please don't get mad at me! I don't know how to do this! I don't know what this feeling is! I'm scared, J! What do I do?!?!
Jaylin: Calm down, Kylee. I get it. This all new to you, I know, but don't beat yourself up over this. (Puts hand on Kylee's cheek)
Kylee: (Looks at Jaylin, starry eyed) Ok. Did I mess everything up?
Jaylin: (Laughs) No. I love you, too, Kylee!
Kylee: (Stairs at Jaylin, even more starry eyed)
