He looked at himself in the mirror before gasping and looking at his door. Rushing to the door, he stumbled and shook as he tried to get his little knee and elbow pads on with his bandages. He shuffled out into the common room before running to the dojo and to the shelf. Grabbing his and his older brothers journal and pencil, he hurried to his spot on the matts on the floor.
Huffing a proud and satisfying sigh, he smirked a rather dorky smile as he looked to his left to find his younger brother, Donatello, shaking his head at him, humming a disapproving him with his head.
Raphael only smirked bigger and wider. Leonardo then jogged in, with his eyes as wide as they could be with his chest inflating and deflating rapidly. He physically relaxed as he saw his supplies neatly sprawled out on the floor in front of his spot, which was next to Raphael.
"Thanks Raph. You're a life saver." He smiled as he sat down on his spot, earning a proud smile in return.
"It was nothing."
Michelangelo then came in sprinting as he was afraid of something. He didn't know exactly what or why, but he did.
He could feel his brothers surprised eyes looking and staring at him, making him shift uncomfortably as he reached up to grab his notebook and pencil. Once in his small hands he sprinted back to his spot and threw himself onto the matts, his pencil flying in the air, arching and going back down to smack his head as soon as he was settled down.
"Ow." He rubbed at his head as his brothers laughed. He snatched his pencil from the floor and neatly put it on his orange journal. He looked around the dojo as they waited for their father to enter.
He looked to his left to find Donatello skimming through his notes. He looked to his right to see Leonardo right next to him with his eyes closed, and Raphael at the end with his eyelid he raised and an impatient frown on his face.
Then here he was, with a confused face on him. He felt as if they were missing someone. Of course, their father, but someone else them him. He didn't remember who, he didn't even know if he ever did, but he had a strange feeling that there was a gap. There still is, but why?
Their father came walking through his sliding paper door and stopped in front of the four little four year old turtles.
"Good morning my sons."
"Good morning father!" They said in unison.
Before long their heads were engulfed in their notebooks and the ends of their pencils were flying everywhere. Michelangelo looked up from his note taking about how fractions can be simplified and felt as if he already knew. He felt like he knew everything that they were doing now. Though, they are doing two fourths simplified is one over two. The basics. But he felt the urge to go the next step.
"Is something wrong, my son?" His head snapped up to meet his fathers concerned brown eyes. He smiled and shook his head.
"No father. Just thinking. That's all." He shrugged with his freckled smile. Raphael giggled, Leonardo's groaned, and Donatello raised an eye ridge before shrugging to himself and going back to work. His father nodded and went to see how Raphael was doing, making Michelangelo sign and slump his shoulders. His eyes closed and his younger stuck out as he craned his neck forward.
"What are you doing?" Donatello whispered as his eye ridge was still raised, he slowly smirked as he stared and met his baby brothers glance.
"I dunno. Bored, I guess." He shrugged and tightened his grip on his pencil. His head was again engulfed by his notebook as he looked at Donatello through the corner of his eye. Donatello only shrugged again and went back to work with his intense stare at the paper. His smirk faded away.
-----
"Wait, exactly, how much algae did you eat?" Donatello asked with his eyes wide open. They were filled with curiosity and concern, earning a grunt from Leonardo.
"Who cares? He'll live." He snorted as his arms crossed over his chest and he leaned against the wall. Donatello glared at him for a second before smiling at Michelangelo.
"You know," Donatello smirked. "You have to eat all of dinner, right?"
Michelangelo widened his eyes as his mouth partly opened. He the groaned and threw his head back, his body slumping down on itself.
"Yup, you're gonna have ta' eat All of dinner!" Raphael smiled as he raised his eye ridge.
"C-come on! I o-only ate seven worms and a plate of algae, that's now bad! Right?" Donatello giggled, Raphael shook his head with a smirk, and Leonardo rolled his eyes groaning.
"You're an idiot."
"No he's not!" Donatello snapped.
"Come on Mikey, let's go prepare a Huge dinner with daddy." Raphael teased as he grabbed Michelangelo's hand. He gasped and stared at the two intertwined hands as he was dragged from the common room to the kitchen. Raphael looked over his shoulder and stopped to turn around completely and face his brother.
"What's wrong?" Raphael asked, raising his eye ridge. He slightly tilted his head in curiosity.
"N-nothing. It just felt weird." Michelangelo whispered, his gaze fixed on the floor. Raphael sighed and bent over so Michelangelo was looking at him again. Was it what Leo said? Don't listen to him. He's a bully and meanie pants." Raphael smiled, hoping to make Michelangelo do the same, but he didn't. He only shook his head and walked to the kitchen to prepare algae with worms for them.
"You're a jerk, you know that?" Donatello spat and walked of from Leonardo. Leonardo then groaned and headed towards his room.
'What!? He'll live!' He sighed as he shut his door after he walked in his and his brothers room.
'But why do I have the feeling that I'm teasing and hurting him-'
'Like someone did before?' Michelangelo shrugged the feeling off and smiled at his father.
