Chapter 2....

The next morning I woke up before my alarm clock. I slowly dragged myself out of bed and walked down the hall to the bathroom. I stared at my self in the mirror and grimaced. I always looked like hell in the morning. I took a quick shower and slipped back into my room. I decided on wearing a black tee shirt, my dark-washed skinny jeans, grey converse and a grey hoody. I felt gloomy today and the weather was reflecting the way I felt. It was raining. Again. As usual. I was staring to get sick of rain. I wanted a good storm to really spruce things up. I smiled to myself and went down stairs. I grabbed a pop tart and stood around in the kitchen for a minute.

On my way to school I had that odd feeling of someone following me. I didn't bother to look over my shoulder this time. I was having those feelings more and more often now. I sighed and walked up the school's drive way. I saw the cheer leaders standing in a huddle under the overhang by the entrance to the main building. I rolled my eyes when I saw Carie, the captain, full on making out with Carter, the football quarterback. How cliched, I thought and walked past them.

As I walked around the corner, heading down the science hall to my locker, I ran into someone. "Ugh!" I fell to the floor, landing hard on my backside.

"Oh I'm sorry." I heard a distinctly familiar voice and knew who it was before I looked up. I glanced up and my suspicions were proved correct. Above me stood one of the hotest boys in the entire high school. It was Sam Kelix. He was gorgeous with his long dark hair and electric blue eyes. He was tall and built and every girls dream. In simpler words, I had no chance. He grinned down at me and extended his hand. He helped me to my feet and said, "I'm Sam." I know, I thought.

"I'm Lex. Thanks for knocking me down." I said a little bitchily I might add.

"Hey you ran into me remember. Watch where your going." He grinned at me. Is he flirting? With me? I thought silently.

"Um I better go." I said and started to go around him.

"Wait," he said grabbing my wrist. "Maybe I'll see you around?" he asked.

"Maybe." I said and gently pulled me wrist from his grasp. I walked to my locker with my cheeks burning. Why didn't I flirt back? I silently scolded myself as I turned the lock. I had to redo my combination three times before I finally got it open. Just as I slammed it shut the first bell rang. I hurried off down the hall towards my first class.

As I walked into my history class I saw my one and only friend Ashleigh grinning at me. I took my seat next to her.

  "So?" she asked.

"So what?" I gave her a amused look and took out my note book.

"I heard Carter asking about you in the hall. You ran into him? Were his abs hard? I bet they were." She continued on with her unimportant babble about Carter. I was sure at lunch she would have me tell every non-important detail and every word that was said. She was my best friend but she got annoying fast. Especially when she was talking about boys. Thank God the bell rang just then, signalling the beginning of class and saving me from Ashleigh's boy babble.

The rest of the school day went by uneventfully. I hid in the library, listening to my I-pod during lunch. I saw Ashleigh in the hall as I was leaving but I didn't stop to chat. I wanted to get home before it started to pour again. I could take the bus but it was always jam packed with kids and it was filthy. I would rather walk.

As I was walking, the sky opened up and it started pouring buckets. Just my luck, I thought sighing. I was about half way home and already drenched when I heard a horn behind me. I turned to see a sleek black SUV. Just before I flipped them a bird for honking, they rolled down there window. I saw a gorgeously familiar face grin at me.
