I walk through the entrance to the airport and think about how painful the next few weeks are going to be. I am really not looking forward to seeing my little sister. I walk towards the arrivals gate looking out for the spawn of Satan himself. My phone buzzes in my pocket and I really hope that it is Jessie telling me that her plane has landed in the wrong country but it is Shane.

Shane: Hey, has she arrived yet?

Me: No, do I have to pick her up?

Shane: Yes. She is your sister. Why do you hate her so much?

Me: When you come over tonight, you will know why!

Shane: Okay well, I love you. Good luck xx

Me: Thank you, love you too xxxxxx

I slide my phone back into my pocket and smile at the reassurance Shane has given me. That is until I  hear my name being shouted across the entire airport!

"ALICE!" the sound of Jessie's voice makes me cringe. I look up into her green eyes and give her a faint smile. "I haven't seen you in like forever!"

"Please don't ever say that again!" Why does she speak like that?

"Why not?"

"Because you sound ridiculous." We walk out of the airport doors and get into my car. Jessie throws her suitcase into the boot and hops into the front seat. All the way home she talks about how she got kicked out of mum and dads house and how funny she thought it was. I really hope she doesn't think she is going to be staying with me for good!? We pull up to my house and everything goes silent which is strange for my sister. She lets out a little laugh which makes my blood start to boil.

"What?" I ask her calmly.

"Is THIS your house?" She says with a wave of disappointment.

"Yes it is. You try and got out and get a job that pays you well so you have somewhere to live!" I try not to raise my voice but I can't help it. She huffs a little and gets out of the car as I pull the key out of the ignition. She pulls her suitcase out of the boot and wheels it up to my front door. As we enter the hallway, Jessie laughs again at how 'poor' I seem to be. I just give out an annoyed sigh and lead he up to her room. I flops down on the bed and goes straight to sleep which is a plus side for me. I close her door and walk back downstairs. I stop when I see a little bit of blood on the floor from when Lisa paid us a visit. I shiver just thinking about it and walk into the living room and curl up on the sofa. My phone starts to ring but I don't recognise the number and there is no caller ID. I answer it any way.

"Hello?" I ask

"Alice? Is that you?" I here a woman say. I know that voice, I have heard it somewhere before.

"Mum? Why are you calling me? Not to seem rude or anything."

"It is so nice to hear your voice again. We have an issue. Jessie has run off again."

"Yea I know, she is here with me unfortunately."

"WHAT? She went all that way by herself!"

"Yea, why did you tell her where I live? Can you please come and take her back. I can't cope with her here. I've had a lot on my plate lately."

"Okay sweetheart, we will be over next week at the latest. I am so sorry for what she as caused you."

"It's not your fault. See you next week then. Love you bye"

"Bye." I hung up then phone. It is nice to hear from my mum again. Wait, she said that Jessie ran off but Jessie told me that mum and dad kicked her out! I storm upstairs and burst into her room. She shoots up and sits on her bed knowing that I know what she has done.
