Chapter 5

Luke

"Nothing," I blurted, covering my face with a jacket.

Tears began to flow as I rushed out of the ER, blurring my vision, making me flash back to old days, cake days, days in the London house making Keeks and twitcams, days full of cuddling and whispering and nibbling and talking...

Had all those days just gone down the drain?
Were they forever lost or was I just overthinking?

It was dark outside, and the other two had gone back to the hotel to pack their bags. We weren't leaving but the hotel had only been booked for so many days. We had made the very brave decision of moving back into our old London house whilst Calum recuperated, which was bound to bring back many more memories of days with Calum.

Calum.

Who even was he anyway?

If what we had was real, how could he be fine? (Literally though. I knew it was our song but the Madden brothers were SO right when they miraculously thought up the lyrics.)

How could he say all of that to me, then forget it all?

"I like you too... little penguin Luke..."

Little penguin Luke.

Luke.

Before I knew it, I was standing on a bridge, looking over the River Thames and London's beautiful skyline.

It was a blissful moment.

Michael

"So we can get him a therapist?" I reiterated to the receptionist. He nodded, typing words in a sophisticated manner onto the computer in front of him.

"That's right. We'll call Rhiannon for you, she specialises in amnesiacs."

I sighed thankfully and relaxed a little. Ashton was elsewhere sorting out housing shit. Luke was nowhere to be found. I, well I was trying to help Calum get better by hunting down someone for him to talk to. I also needed to contact his family; they hadn't been notified yet and they were by far the most important people to Cal.

"Hello? Could you put me through to Rhiannon Waters please? Thanks. Oh, hi Rhi, when's your next free slot? Uh-huh. Yep. Calum Hood, 19. PTA. All right then. Okay, thanks." He put down the phone and looked at me. "Rhiannon will be free at 2pm, is that time all right for you?"

"Should be."

"Great. I'll send her over when she arrives."

Calum

"Hi Calum, since you're getting better we've decided to move you into a bigger room, but you'll be with other people. Is that all right with you?" a nurse asked me whilst checking my monitors and bandages.

"Sure."

Meeting new people. Hmm. Not sure how I felt about that. On the plus side, I wouldn't get lonely, right?

The nurse sorted me out and helped me get to my new location. We got there, and sitting on a bed with a magazine was a super pretty girl with platinum blonde hair and black streaks. "Hi," I greeted and she looked up smiling.

"Hey, I'm Brinley. Well, better known as Leigh. And you?"

"Calum."

"Cool! Oh god, is that a broken leg you got there?!" she gasped as if it was something out of the ordinary.

I nodded. "Um, yeah?"

Her eyes lit up excitedly. "That's awesome!! I never leave this hospital much, see. I don't get to watch people have their legs broken, nor do I get to see them walk with crutches. I take it you'll be sharing this room with me?"
