"Oh really now. That's odd then, because I remember dragging you into that store and yet here you are at the food court eating food!"

"Well that's kinda what you do at the food court and everything."

Victoria glares at me and mumbles incoherent words towards me. She slams a bag on the seat in front of me and storms away toward the food restaurants.

Oh man, she is definitely going to get me for that. But once I explain hopefully her wrath won't be that gruesome, I shudder involuntary at the thought.

I bring my fork towards my mouth and take in heavens dish, well other than sweets of course. As the flavors combine I almost die in satisfaction.

"Oh Chinese God of Food, you have never let me down nor will you. I thank you for this delicious meal of the gods, O'mighty one."

I hear a chuckle behind me as I finished saying my praise towards the Chinese God. I move my head to the side so I won't look like a stalker to see where the laugh came from.

Once I realized who was there I quickly turned my head back, my whole body stiffened.

Out of all the times I have to see him twice in one day! O'mighty one I sacrifice this idiot for a offering for you, please accept.

I quickly shut my eyes praying that the O'mighty one will take this fool away.

Moments later when I open my eyes and turn my head in his direction, I realized that for once in my life the O'mighty one has failed me.

"Wow, your still the same after all this time, huh?"

His voice has changed over the years. It's not the same carefree laugh, or the humor laced in his words.

"I can't say the same about you, Evans."

His name sounds so foreign to me now. At least that comes out of my mouth, I hear people at school talk about him 24/7. Because he is now the it guy.

His laughter died down once he realized what I said. An unknown emotion crosses his face but as soon as I try to realize what it is, poof! It's gone.

"Well that's all in the past. We both have moved on since then."

Out of all the scenarios that I thought of years ago for this moment, never surfaced. All the questions of 'Why would you leave me?' Never came out of my mouth.

"You're right Evans, it's all in the past now."

Before he responded I picked up my food and Victoria's bag and walked to another table. Away from him.

Damn him. Now I don't want to finish this food, because now he is all I can think about.

"Hey excuse me, but I happened to notice that your not sitting with anyone. So do you mind if I join you?"A voice above me asks.

I turn my gaze up to voice to see a guy. His mouth in a grin, his dark hair tousled around, his green eyes fixated on me.

"Um. Sure. I'm not alone though, my friend Victoria is with me."

The guy nods his head towards me, then sits across me. "My name is Oliver. I just moved here on Wednesday, so I'm like new to this area and everything. It would be nice starting Senior year with a few familiar faces. So what's your name?"

"My name is Lacey Green. But my friends call me Lacey. It's nice to meet you Oliver. Oh look, here comes Victoria."

Oliver turned in the direction of my gaze. Victoria comes towards us holding her food in hand, confusion set on her face.
