'Beep! Beep! Beep! Be-' My hands snapped toward my phone to quickly turn off that obnoxious noise. Today is the day. My first day of senior year, and my last year of high school.
I internally groan as I stretch my limbs at this god forsaken hour. 6:00. I slowly make my way out of bed, missing the comfort of it's embrace.
"Don't worry. I will be back soon enough." I whisper longingly to my bed.
I walk towards my closet pulling the first shirt and jeans I see. It ends up being a V-neck white shirt and a black pair of skinny jeans. Once I finish putting them on, I quickly make my way downstairs to the kitchen.
"Hey Lace. Your up earlier than usual" My little brother Ryder states amusedly. I glare towards him, he knows I'm not a morning person at all. I have failed to mention my younger obnoxious brother. He is starting his first year in high school today, with his best friend of course. Who happens to be the 'Spawns Brother', also known as Jason.
"Ryder I swear, I will ruin your freshman year if you don't shut your face." Ryder puts his arms up in surrender.
"I shall leave you alone, at least for now." I roll my eyes toward him, then walk over to the cabinet.
What should I eat... I can always eat cereal, eat toast, or just grab a apple. Screw it. I feel lazy, I'm just going to grab the apple.
Once I finished devouring the apple, I went up to my room. I did a quick look around, because hey. If you have siblings you would know.
The coast is clear. I sigh in relief, I don't have to deal with his shenanigans yet. I walk towards my desk to get my writing journal, I pick it up then something catches my eye.
I walk towards my window to look outside, there the figure was. It was walking away quickly not making a sound, if only it would turn around.
Once the figure was out of my view I just shrugged it off then closed my window. That's odd. It was definitely closed this morning. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
"Laceeeeee. Where are you?" I giggle as I quickly went to his behind my door.
"Im in here Brandon." I stifle a giggle as I hear his footsteps come closer.
"Lace?" He walks into the doorway of my room taking long strides inside. I slowly moved, making sure I didn't make a sound towards him.
My steps were creeping in on his, then I went for it. I jumped on his back.
"OMG! WHO IS THIS!? LACE! DAMN IT!" Once he realizes it's me he pouts as I hop down.
Then as a thought occurred to him he gave me a sinister smirk, "Oh don't worry Lacey. I'm definitely going to get you back."
"LACEY! RYDER! TIME TO GO!" Victoria's voice rings out. Thank god. Saved by the Spawn.
"Oh look spaw- I mean Victoria's here! Well too-daloo brother of mine." I smirk towards him in victory as I grab my messenger bag and binder.
I practically started to run down the stairs almost tripping on the last step.
"Why are you in such a hurry?"
"I just can't wait to get to school!" I try to persuade yet I didn't even believe myself.
"Sure. Why not, well let's go weirdo." Victoria grabs both of our arms and pulls us out towards her car.
I sit in the passenger seat while Ryder gets in the backseat with Jason. Another year of this, then I'm free to move away so I will never have to see him again.
