Xbox Love: A Tale of Regret, Shame & Sorrow

Andy closed his eyes and tried to shake off his worry as he took a long drag from his cigarette. What would cause Wolf to come down here so suddenly? So suddenly in fact that she couldn't tell him why...The whole thing put him a little on edge. To the point where he'd had 4 cigarettes on the drive to the airport. So much for quitting.

He stamped out the butt and headed back inside, his boots making a faint click-click as he approached the flight times monitor. It brought a smile to his face as he read that Wolf's flight was on time and had just landed. Excitedly, he took off in a jog towards the gate; weaving through people as best he could. He felt his heart pounding as approached the pick-up station. [Damn you airport! Why you no let Andy meet her at the gate?! D:] The small, silver train that brought passengers from the gate to the baggage claim pulled in. Andy carefully watched as one by one people exited the tram. He called out as he spotted his person.

"Wolf! Wolf!" He hollard waving his arms back and forth and jumping up and down. Wolf smiled and dropped her bag as she ran to him. Andy picked her up in a hug and spun her around, nuzzling her cheek before he set her down.

"Did you really think I would miss a 6'4" man?" Wolf smiled and kissed him softly. It felt like it had been an eternity since Andy had felt her lips. Sometimes it astounded him how much he really cared for her. He smiled and picked up Wolf's bag.

"You never know just how many attractive looking 6'4" men could be skulking around LAX. You should be careful. In fact we should have a code word so when we met up some place we know it's really us." Andy smiled as he started slowly making his way towards the parking garage.

"And wherever did you get this brilliant code word idea?" Wolf smiled linking her arm into Andy's.

"McGuff the crime dog."

"Oh I see. Well, any ideas on this code word?"

"Batman McNubbins."

Wolf thought for a moment and let out a small giggle. "I like it. Batman McNubbins it is."

The drive to Andy's house from the airport wasn't entirely too long. But Wolf was amazed at the different types of neighborhoods they passed as the ambled down the busy Los Angeles streets. It seemed that every other neighborhood looked like something from 8 mile. [No disrespect to ppl who live in LA or who like 8 mile lol] Finally they pulled up to a tall, white building with 4 or five small square windows. A large dark grey garage door lifted as the pulled into the driveway, allowing them to park in a small single garage. Wolf noticed there was another garage door just to the right of the one they pulled in to.

"You live in a house?" She asked Andy as she hopped out of the passengar side.

"A condo. Figured I don't need a house until I put a ring on a girl's finger ya know?" Andy replied grabbing Wolf's bag and heading up the few stairs to the front door. He pushed the door open and smiled as Wolf admired the beauty of his home. He was quite proud it. He'd bought it, moved in & furnished the entire thing on his own. Even more impressive he'd stood his ground and fought against Juliet's overwhelming urge to redecorate everything.

"Your home is...gorgeous." Wolf said softly, kicking her shoes off at the front door.

"Thank you. Took a while to get it just right but, I think I nailed it." Andy smiled as he set her bag gently next to the large black couch.

Wolf felt her eyes run across every beautiful inch the condo. The large living room with huge black couch and large TV mounted on the wall. The stainless steel kitchen with professional 2 door fridge and restaurant style 6 burner stove (with double oven.) Her favorite part about Andy's home had to be the bedroom. A small set of spiral steps leading from the living room up to a large loft that held a gigantic California King bed. The sheets were a deep crimson and felt almost brand new. The attached bathroom had all black granite counter tops and a black marble stand up shower. The entire place was beyond gorgeous.
