Captain's Daughter Book 2: Visions of Loki

Chapter 4: Jötunheimr

"Where do you wish to go?" The portal guard asks.

"Midrealm." Thor replies. There is a swirl of light and he is gone.

"Where do you wish to go?" He asks again this time to us.

"To Jötunheimr." Leah says. Swirls of light surround us and we are transported to a land of light and snow. And darkness. Silence. Eery silence all around.

"Which way?" I ask Leah.

"Um... Thadda way." She says pointing to the south.

~A couple hours later~

"When are we going to get there?!" Max says,sounding extremely exhausted. Talking about exhausted, I was. My arm was throbbing seriously bad. My scar on my head had started to throb as well. I was a mess. I hadn't slept in 2 days and it was really cold. Henry had given me a jacket he found on the heli but, thats all I had. He would get awfully cold too. If he broke down again, I don't know what I would do.

"We are almost there!" Leah shouts back at Max.

"Stop complaining!"

"Wait, whats that?!" I yell. There is a large blue figure charging toward us.

"What the hell is that?!" Max yells. "A frost giant." Henry whispers, barely audible.

"What?" I ask.

"A frost giant." He says louder than before.

"How do you know all this?!" I yell at him.

"What does it matter?! He's coming straight for us."

"Attack!!" Max yells,charging forward and blasting him a few times.

"I'll handle this." Henry says walking ahead of everyone.

"What are you doing?!" I yell. "You're barely stable!"

"Let me handle this." He yells. He out stretches his hands. Large spears of ice shoot ahead hitting the frost giant in the chest. The frost giant shoots forward and grabs Henrys wrist.

"Henry!!" I scream running forward.

"UGG!" Henry yells. He pushes his hand off of him and pins him to the ground with ice spears.

"There!" He screams and collapse.

"Henry!" I run over to him. "Oh my - What the hell happened to your wrist?! It's all blue!!" I scream grabbing his wrist. It is cold and almost lifeless. "Henry?!"

"It's fine! I'm fine!" He yells.

"No! Your not!" I yell.

"I am fine!"

"Of course you are because everybody turns blue once in their life." Max says sarcastically.

"I'm not in the mood!" I yell at him.

"Henry are you sure?"

"Yes!" He says standing up. "Im fine!" He pulls me up.

"Whatever! Die if you want too!" I walk away. There was something wrong, he just wasn't telling me.
