Captain's Daughter Book 2: Visions of Loki

Chapter 10: Turning into Dad.

"Cassie!" I hear Henry yell as I open my eyes. "What the hell were you thinking?!"

I'm in a S.H.I.E.L.D hospital room.

"I was just-" I start to say but, he cuts me off by hugging me.

"You could have been killed! They're painful." he says, looking worried. "What was it of?"

"Loki-" I remember what he had said. "Loki was killing another person. Same thing you always have." I explain, lying. I really tried to not think of the vision. If he was trying to read my mind,it was surely now.

"...Okay..." He says not convinced.

"How long was I passed out for?" I ask, changing the subject.

"A couple days." He says looking worried again. "It really drained a lot of energy out of you."

"Obviously." I say sarcastically. "Would it be okay if you left so I could get dressed?" I ask.

"Oh. Yeah." He gets up and leaves.

I change into a dark blue overalls with a black top underneath. Really S.H.I.E.L.D. Really? I quickly pulled my hair in to a high ponytail.

My mind started drifting off to think about my or 'our' vision. I hated it. I hated Loki even more everyday. And the fact that he had my mom. The anger was practically boiling up inside me. Henry... Loki was his dad. How could a human love a beast like him?! And why did Loki fall for a mortal? There was a lot more beneath the surface of that guy then we thought. He believes Henry is powerful. And he wants him. One of these days Loki is just going to walk up and take me for bait. I was going to go willfully. No one gets hurt. I had to join his plan or my dads heart would be crushed. Again.

"Hey, you ready?" Henry knocks on my door and asks.

I quickly snap out of my day dream. "Yeah." I say quickly. I open the door and walk out.

We walk down the hall and into the meeting room. Everyone was gathered there. "Cassie!" Lexi jumps up and hugs me tightly. "Got tired of being like your dad?" Max says sarcastically.

"So you guys found the wardrobe changes too?" I say laughing.

Lexi was wearing a hot rod red t shirt. Leah was wearing a hoodie and Marie was wearing a dress.

Leah laughed sarcastically. "Yeah." She glared at Lexi like she had done something horrible. Lexi snickered.

"Sit down! We have got better things to worry about!" Fury entered the room.

I toke the nearest seat to me and the farthest away from Fury.

"Cassie. What was the vision?" Suddenly everyone was staring at me.

"Um... Well.. It was just Loki killing people. Like what Henry describes." I lie.

"Anything else?"

"No!" I say kinda to abruptly. I blush."I mean no. There is absolutely nothing else."

"Okay... We need to figure out his next target and track him down!" Fury says angrily.

"I think he might be laying low for a while. He gonna develop a plan." I say.

"What kind of plan?" Fury asks.

"Oh! Um... I don't know for sure...."

He looked at me unconvincingly.

"I think I might agree with Cass. Loki need sometime to think his plan through.

Yes. Henry was giving me more time to think of a plan with Loki.

"Okay. We will just wait around then." Fury says sarcastically. He gets up and leaves towards the main area. As soon as he leaves he starts barking orders. I jump up and attack him. "What the hell are you doing?!" I scream. "I told you specifically not to send out any one!"

"I'm not just gonna wait around. You need a brake from this Avengers business.". He directs some agents to take me to a secret room.

"NO!" I scream and struggle to get away. They drag me away and place me in a white room with a chair.

"NO!" I pound on the walls and scream. "I need to be out there!"

Then the first attack started.
