The next morning, Mary came in turning on the lights yelling that we were going to be late for school if we don't get up. So we got up and out of bed and got dressed quickly and ran downstairs seeing Adoward already down in the kitchen eating breakfast. "You girls are going to have to take your breakfast to go because it's time to leave" Adoward said.
"To go where?" I asked.
"School" Adoward simply replied.
I had obviously had forgotten about that. Since we had already missed the bus Troy said that he would take us. So we all climbed into Troy van and he took us to school which was really big compared to my school back in England. We all got out of the van and Alivyre brought me to the guidance office to get my schedule for school. When we got my schedule Alivyre had gotten me a map of the school to help me find my way to each class. She then took my schedule and the map and took out a highlighter and highlighted where all my classes were then took a pen and put a number by each class.
"What are the numbers for?" I asked her.
They are to show you what class you go to first to eighth" Alivyre answered.
So when we left we found Adoward with some of his friends and when he saw us he asked for my schedule and I showed him. Turns out, we had the first half of the day together so I decided to stick with him for the day. Soon after that the bell rang and he told me to follow him and he led me to our first-period class: Math. So the day went on, I found my classes and the three of us had lunch together.
At the end of the day Adoward said that he would be waiting for us in the lobby but when we got into the lobby there was a big circle in the middle and teachers trying to get through to the center of the circle where a fight was going on.
Alivyre and I made our way towards the center and when we reached the edge of the circle we saw Adoward on the ground barely able to keep his eyes opened trying to defend himself from the boy who was beating the crap out of him. The boy was trying to get Adoward to admit something but Adoward refused to say it and each time he refused the boy would punch Adoward wherever he could.
Soon Alivyre stepped forward and yelled and him to stop and the boy surprisingly heard her over the crowd and the teachers finally got through to the center of the circle and Alivyre was kneeling next to Adoward trying to keep him awake. I walked over to them and helped Alivyre get Adoward up and to the nurse's office. The boy who had beat Adoward up was the school bully named Darrell Resnik.
When I and Alivyre tried to stay with Adoward the nurse kicked us out of the office and told us to wait outside for our parents to come and take the three of us home. When we got out of the nurse's office, I accidentally bumped into Bellamin. The three of us talked about what had just happened in the lobby and while Bellamin was in the middle of saying something we heard someone clear their throat and we both turned and saw Katherina standing there with her arms crossed and not very happy.
