They left the room and walked down the hall to the elevator, this was the first time she actually noticed her surroundings. The rug green with diamond patterns in red and brown it was also worn and but clean. The walls a pale yellow with little flower designs on it flowing in a uniform pattern down the hall. When they finally stopped at the elevator she was looking everywhere but at him. Evy could feel him close by, the heat emanating off of him. He stood beside hers hardly moving, looking at her and at the elevator. He look hot in a goofy kind away, his hands in his pockets lifted up his shirt slightly, his hair was messy and falling into his eyes. Damn he looked really good. There was a ting letting us know that the elevator is here, they both stepped in at the same time. It didn’t work out to well, ‘specially because she was employing the no touching rule.

“I’m sorry,” she muttered to him without looking at his face.

“Why are you sorry, it was an accident,” she felt his intense gaze on my face.

Evy muttered something unintelligible, while pressing the ground floor button on the panel. It felt like the elevator was creeping slowly downward, it was beyond awkward in here she don’t know how to break the silence and truth be told she didn’t want to. When the elevator reached the ground floor she followed him out and we walk towards the double doors leading out of the hotel.

“So where are we going,” Evy asked him quietly looking around at the unfamiliar streets.

“There’s this little diner down a block or two, that serves good food, lots of it and it’s cheap.”

“Yeah like you have to worry about money,” she muttered more to myself then to him, but he heard me. “Yeah but I like quality food rather that expensive food.

“Fair enough.”

The rest of the walk was rather uneventful we got to the diner and it reminded me of the 60’s. But luckily for the waitresses they didn’t have to dress up in those puffy skirt things. An older woman asked us what we wanted fro breakfast and then we were left to our own, where the silence continued.

“So are we gonna just sit hear and not talk or we gonna at least make some small talk,” he said with a half smile while looking down at his coffee.

Evy turned to him with a crooked smile and replied back “so how ‘bout that weather.”

With a laugh and a smile he says, “really that’s what you decide to go with, oh God.”

With a smile of my own Evy laugh out “hey man, there’s no need to hate on me, this is a no judgment zone, ya feel me.”

“Pardon,” “Don’t look at me in the tone of voice,” she cut in quickly. His face made me bust out laughing he looked so confused.

“Wait, what?” he look so confused, she just couldn’t stop laughing. They must have looked rather comical, she laughing her ass off, him just sitting there look so confused. He looked so adorable just sitting looking so confused and wondering why Evy was laughing so hard; this only made me laugh harder.

Slowly she started to gain some control over herself and gasped out, “I’m sorry but your face was priceless… mmm foods here, yummy can’t wait to eat my French toast.”

“You do know that you are kinda random right?”

“Yeah I know, but that’s all apart of my charm, doncha know,” she told this to him while smiling.

Smiling she went to work on my food. God Evy loved to eat, this brought her back to why she was here and who she was eating with. Hmm, she wonder how this is gonna go down, don’t forget to play is cool and remember not to be to crass and show him how she feels. Shit, Evy has a bad habit of playing this kind of stuff down, to make other people happy. Oh god this is goning be so uncomfortable, last night she acted like that girl at the party,  when she is the furthest thing from that girl.

Ugh. That’s the last time she decided that she would ever drink again, great fuckin’ birthday present… well actually it was, she thought to herself with a half smile. Evy noticed that he was looking at her strangely; her thoughts were quickly gone when she looked at his face, it was rather comical. Evy really did need to talk to El, I’m because she’s not good at this kind of stuff, not at all. Her mind was like a whirlwind she kept think of all the ways this could go down and she got frightened that he would this she was just another puck bunny. Her distress must have showed on her face, because suddenly she heard “are you okay?” For a second she didn’t respond ‘cause she wasn’t sure she heard it.

“Hey,” he said while grabbing my hand, “are your okay.”

“Uhh yeah I’m just a little confused, sorry.”

“Wait, why are you sorry, there is no need what so ever for you to be sorry. Especial after what happened last night,” he trailed off.

“Can we not talk about this here, I don’t really feel comfortable here its to public,” she told him softly.

“Yeah no worries, we can go somewhere else,” he said reassuringly with a smile.

“ ’kay thanks. Can I ask you something?”

“Yea, feel free,” he told me with a gentle smile.

“Where do you feel most comfortable?”

“The hockey rink,” he confidently said.

Evy thought about it for a second then asked, “Can we go there?”

With a smile he said, “I think I can pull a few strings.”
