A/N My first fanfic...Can't believe I'm actually having the courage to post this..Constructive criticism is welcomed, I don't think this turned out as good as it was in my brain...Going to post the first chapter as well:)
Prologue
Today’s the day, He’s coming back today. After 5 years, He is finally coming home. We’ve been talking on the phone but it’s just not the same. He’s a lot more formal. We’d stay up all night just talking the first few years He was in London, but now we just have 5 minute conversations because He was ‘busy’. I shake my head to clear my thoughts and get up to head back home.
“Lou? Is that you?” my mum calls out the second I’m through the door.
“Yes, mum. I’m home. Is He here yet?” I walk into the kitchen and lean against the doorframe, watching her work. “No, not yet. We’re going over for lunch. Anne told me he’ll reach shortly after lunch.”
The butterflies are back in my stomach. Lunch, that’s just an hour away. I’ll see him for the first time in 5 years. I’ll be able to touch him, hug him, kiss him again. Finally, I’ll be back in the arms of the man I love, where I belong. Yet, I can’t shake the feeling something’s wrong...
