Ch. 1:

We’re sitting around the table having lunch in his home, when Gemma spills some Coke on my shirt. “Oh SHIT! Sorry, Lou, I didn’t mean to.” She panics and gives me some paper towels. “It’s fine Gem, I’ll just go get cleaned up and change my shirt.” I stand up after giving her a smile to reassure her it was fine. “Why don’t you borrow one of His shirts? His luggage arrived yesterday so he’d be more comfortable travelling. I’m sure he won’t mind you wearing his shirt.” Anne winks at me and I blush, nodding and heading out the dining room and up the stairs to His bedroom.

I walk in and go straight to the bathroom, taking off my shirt so I could see how bad the stain was. Considering it was a plain white tee, the stain was not gonna get out easily. Guess I need another shirt. I walk out the bathroom shirtless and walk over to the cupboard. His clothes have probably been placed in there by the maid already so I open it and look through it, trying to find something that’ll fit me. He seems to have grown a lot from the shirt sizes, they’re all big for me. I just grab a random tee, deciding to change when I go home.

“That’s my favorite shirt, you know?” A deep voice comes from behind me. I spin around and there HE stands.

“Haz? HAZ!” I jump on him and before I could stop myself, I was kissing him. My arms were around his neck, pulling him down. Then his arms snaked around my waist and he pulled me in closer, our lips moving together passionately. He traced his tongue around my lower lip, silently asking for entrance. I kept my lips shut and one of his hands to reached down squeeze my butt and I gasped, allowing him to take the chance. He pushed me against the wall and we were full on snogging, exploring each other with our hands and mouths. I missed this, I missed him. As we pulled away from each other, I leaned in again to give him a peck and said “Welcome home, Hazza, I missed you.” His eyes filled with something I couldn’t define and he pulled away.

“Shit. This wasn’t supposed to happen.” He ran a hand through his curls, ruffling them before turning to me. “Lou, Louis, I hav-“ “HARRY BABY, WHERE ARE YOU? I’M COMING  UP!” An unfamiliar female voice sounded. I felt as if someone punched me in the gut. Baby? A really pretty girl appeared in the doorway. Her eyes narrowed when she saw me shirtless in Harry’s room. “What’s going on here?” Harry looks at me apologetically before going to her and putting an arm around her waist. “Nothing, babe. This is Louis, my..”

“Best friend. I’m his best friend.” Only I knew how much it hurt to say those words but I had to. Harry had moved on, he’d found his happiness in someone else and I wouldn’t, couldn’t ruin it for him. I held back tears and waited for them to confirm what was in front of me. “I’m Taylor, Harry’s girlfriend. Nice to meet you, Louis.” She smiled at me and I wanted to punch her in the face. I’m supposed to be his boyfriend, not you I’m the one who waited for him, not you. I’m the one you stole him from, and I’m the one who got kissed before everything came crashing down on me. “Likewise, now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get going. Nice seeing you Harry, we’ll talk later. See you.” I walked out the room, pulling the shirt on as I walked down the stairs.

Anne, Gemma and my mum were all standing there, looking at me sympathetically. “Lou..” Anne starts saying but I cut her off. “No need to say anything, Anne, it’s totally fine. I just wish he’d told someone.” “It’s not fine, Louis. He’s been stringing you on for 5 years and now he brings that chick home, thinking everyone’s gonna accept her. No way, Lou! You’re as much my brother as he is and I won’t let him do this to you.” Gemma intercepts but I can’t allow them to do this. They’re his family, I don’t want them fighting over me. “No, Gem. It’s fine. I was an idiot to think a long distance relationship would work. Please accept her; it doesn’t matter, not anymore. Just please; tell him to leave me alone for some time. If we are to go back to being friends, I need space to get over him.”
