Permanent Vacation

Chapter 1

I was scrolling through my Instagram when I came across the video post from Kiss 108 saying "Hey guys, we are starting a contest to win tickets for you and a few friends to fly to LA to meet us, 5 Seconds of Summer, and hang out with us for 10 days. To enter please be here for our take over tonight starting at 6 when we play our songs all night and listen for when we say the code word around midnight to enter online for your chance to win. Good luck to everyone who enters! Your chance to enter the contest will end at noon tomorrow so enter quickly. We will be announcing the winner on May 16th. Bye!" I screamed and immediately called my best friends Kenzie and Alicia who were out getting their hair re-done.

"Hello?" I heard when she picked up.

"Oh my gosh. Have you checked Instagram lately?" I exclaimed.

"No, why?" She asked

I filled her in with all of the information about the contest.

"NO WAY! ARE YOU SERIOUS?" They screamed

"Yeah, Come home soon because the takeover is starting tonight at 6."

"Ok! I'll be there in 1/2 an hour." She said

"Ok. I'll order pizza." I said

"Love you bae!"

"Love you too." I said as I hung up.

I continued going through my feed and ordered the pizza. Then what felt like 5 minutes later I heard the door open.

"Kenzie! Alicia!" I yelled.

I rounded the corner from the kitchen and was attacked by my best friend. She is a lot taller than me so I almost fell over when she tackled me. Her blue eyes met mine and we both screamed. Her long dirty blonde hair with purple underneath was pulled back into a messy bun, while I had my dirty blonde hair pulled back in a messy ponytail. And Alicia's was straight with blonde highlights. We started talking right away about how amazing it would be if we actually won. I ran upstairs and grabbed my laptop and put it down on the couch right next to where Kenzie and Alicia were sitting. I turned Kiss 108 on and we started listening even though it was only 5:30. I heard the doorbell ring again and I grabbed $20 from my wallet and Kenzie threw me a $10. I opened the door and I had Kenzie grab the pizza while I paid the guy. Then we closed the door and Kenzie set the pizza down on the table of our condo in downtown Boston.

We grabbed pizza and we sat back down on the couch and we listened to Kiss 108. "In just 15 mintues we will be having our 5SOS take over. To all the 5SOS fam members here's Amnesia." The DJ said. Kenzie, Alicia and I immediately started singing at the top of our lungs. Once the song finished Story of My Life by One Direction came on and we sang that too. Then a few more songs came on until "Hey guys we're 5 Seconds of Summer. Here's She Looks So Perfect to start the night off right." Luke said with his deep accent. Once SLSP ended the guys started answering questions that the fans sent them on Twitter with #Ask5SOS. They answered a bunch of questions and the take over continued with more songs. Then it was 11:55 and they said "The codeword for the contest is Vacation." I quickly opened the website and entered all of the information to enter the contest and finally put in the codeword and sent the entering. "To end the night we're going to play Permanent Vacation. Thank you guys so much for listening tonight. Goodnight Boston!" The boys said. When the song ended, Kiss 108 went to the normal programming that was scheduled and I closed out of the website. I turned my laptop off and I curled up next to Kenzie, Alicia and I fell asleep.

Hey guys, this story happened to just pop into my head today when I was in class and we had 15 minutes to free write. I had to choose a topic and the topic I chose to write a story based off of your favorite song and I immediately thought of doing a story with Permanent Vacation. It's one of my new favorite songs from the new album. I hope you enjoy it!
