After that revelation none of us spoke until we had reached the temporary Headquarters of Tyrene.
We arrived in an unpopulated area of what seemed to be a forrest. There were no visible houses or huts. Our unasked question was answered when a metal hatch opened leading underground. The openimg was big enough for a jet to fit.
David and Eunice immediatly landed the helicopter. Once we stepped outside we were surrounded by darkness but it did not seem to hinder the Clark cousins. They led us through darkness until we stopped in front of what I assumed to be a door but it had no visible way on entering. Jason simply held out his hand and a beam of light engulfed it for a few seconds. When the light disappeared, the door lifted revealing what looked like a conference room.
There was a rectangular table in the middle of the room. Majority of the chairs were already occupied. David and Eunice immediatly took their seats. As Jason walked over to take his place he gestured for Andrew and I to follow. He told me to sit at the head and for Andrew to sit at my right.
Once we were seated and all introduced, David and Eunice gave a report. Since I already knew what happened I took the opportunity to study those in the room. There were only three boys and I already knew them. On my left side was Jason. He was apparently the General and acting King. To his right was David's older sister Mara. She was a serious looking girl about sixteen. Her silver eyes were hard and betrayed no emotion. In front of her was her parter who was her exact opposite. Tania Clark was a cheerful fifteen-year-old girl she was petite and lithe. Her chesnut hair went well with her pale aqua eyes and fair complexion. Both Tania and Mara were the top spies of the Tyrenian Army. Plus it helps that they are the direct descendanta of Tyrene's Royal Family just like the rest of the Council. On Tania's left was her twin sister Vanessa. Vanessa was Tania's opposite. Where Tania loves to be on the field, Vanessa preferred to be behind the scenes. She was the head medic. Vanessa had a darker complexion than Tania, pale blonde hair, and dark blue eyes. Seated opposite Vanessa was Eunice who like Vanessa like to be behind the scenes most of the time and since she had a knack for technology, she was the head of research team. At the end of the table was Sapphire and opposite her was David. They were the tacticians. Sapphire looked little like her older brother. Sapphire was my age but she had a warrior's physique. Her eyes were ice blue ringed with red. She was also the youngest in the Council.
"So the question now is why they after Tricia," stated Andrew.
Tania nodded. "Good question. Jason, what do you think?"
Jason looked thoughful for a moment before speaking, "I think.this all boils down to who's descendant they are."
I shook my head. "I think you should first explain, Jason, why you called me 'Princess,' don't you think?"
All of them looked at Jason curiously. He sighed. "Are you wearing contacts?"
I nodded suspiciously. "Why?"
"Take them off."
I glanced at Andrew for reassurance and he nodded. I reluctantly took the contacts off then turned back to Jason. "What now?"
Before he could reply realization.dawned on Vanessa. "She looks exactly like her," she whispered.
Jason nodded in cofirmation indicating that he understood who Vanessa was talking about but the rest looked as lost as we did.
"Who does she look like?" asked David impatiently.
"She looka like Catherine, doesn't.she?" questioned Sapphire.
"Well that clears our 'missing princess' problem," said Mara boredly. "But what does he have to do with this." She said indicating Andrew.
"Excuse me?" said Andrew. "What exactly are you talking about?"
"We are trying to figure out how you fit in to this mess," stated Sapphire. "I mean, if Tricia is the lost Princess, then what role do you play?"
I shared a nervous look with Andrew.
"You two know something don't you?" accused David.
Andrew nodded. "I'm a descendant of Josiah and Arianna."
Gasps came from all around the table.
"How is that possible?" asked Eunice. "Didn't they disappear the same time..." she trailed off then her eyes lit up with realization. "Correct me if I'm wrong." We nodded and she continued. "Catherine, Adrian, Arianna, and Josiah all disappeared at the time." We nodded again. "They all settled down and had their own families. No one knew they were alive until Catherine and Adrian were captured, correct?" We nodded once again. "Adrian was killed while in prison then a few days later Catherine gave birth a baby girl whom she named Asha Kai -- giver of life. Since Tyrene only honours females heirs Catherine knew she has to escape. And she did but she was never heard from again." The others nodded.
"Where are you going with this, Eunice?" questioned David.
"Just wait, I'm getting there. Well anyway, Catherine and Adrian's three sons were distraught with the death of their Father and the rumoured death of their Mother but they were hopeful with the news that they had a younger sister somewhere. So they devoted their lives to finding her and so they did. The four children of Catherine and Adrian lived peacefully and later they were found by their cousins - Arianna's children. Even when they went their separate ways they never lost contact until a few years ago."
Jason nodded. "Our parents received a distress call from Bea and Albert Clark. They were the ruling King and Queen. They had three children -- Cameron, Troy, and Danica. When our parents arrived they found the elder Clarks dead and the boys barely breathing. Although they survived they were never the same because they promised their parents to look after Danica but they felt as if they failed."
"What does this have to do with me?" I asked. Then I realized what.they were implying. "No, no, no, no! It's not possible! Are you trying to tell that my entire life has been a lie?"
I felt myself grow hot. Andrew must have realized what was going on faster than I was because the moment I collapsed he was already there to catch me. The last thing I heard was, "We have to call them."
