.:Ch.18:. The new student

Sorry because I haven't updated since forever, it was mainly because I needed more ideas.

I wanted to update yesterday but I kind of lost my phone. Silly I know, but thankfully I found it.

~~ Chloe's POV ~~

Days had passed and I was still ignoring Ryan. It was really priceless the expression that was on Katie's and Serena's faces when they saw the news papers that our school club posted.

I gave the video I recorded to one of the club's members and she really did an amazing job.

The whole school saw the video, even the teachers! The two girls were nothing but laughing new to everyone, but after a few days things started to cool down again, sadly.

I now had just arrived at school, sat in my biology class, Dario Mills my biology teacher entered. A beautiful girl with dark black hair and chocolate eyes also entered, trailing behind the teacher.

She wore a simple yellow strapless shirt with black shorts, she also wore a black scarf.

I smiled at her and saw her return the same gesture.

"Good morning students, today we have a new student to join our class today. Can you please introduce yourself, Ms.May?"

The young girl nodded eagerly, she pushed a strand of her long hair behind her ear as she examined the class. "I am Elaina May, a seventeen years old girl who just joined the Moon Valley pack. My favorite color is obviously green since in my eyes.. it presents nature and freedom. Nice to meet you all."

Mr.Mills gestured her to sit in the seat which was right beside me to my right. She walked effortlessly to her seat and sat down. That's when our teacher decided to begin his lesson..

I was so bored that I felt I'm gonna fall asleep in class, just as my eyelids were about to give in I heard Mr.Mills voice.

"Every two partners will choose an experiment to do, you are all expected to be ready for it in one month. You can choose your own partner, any questions?" He asked, when no one asked anything he left the class as the bell just rang.

I looked at him with my mouth wide open.

None of my very few friends are even here! Who is going to be my partner?!

I turned to my right to see Elaina smiling at me, "Could you please be my partner, uh.. Chloe? You know I don't have any friends around yet." she offered.

I nodded my head, I mentally sighed.

Stop!

How did she even know my name?

"How did you discover my name Elaina?" I couldn't help the urge I had to ask her. She looked panicked for a moment but immediately she calmed down.

"You're pretty popular around here.." She said trailing off, looking away from my gaze.

I sighed, she won't open up to me just because I asked her to.

"Forget that, what are we doing about our little experiment?" I questioned.

"How about we research about how can humans fly?" She suggested, her eyes showing hope that I'll agree.

"Are you serious?" Comes my response, the hope in her eye disappeared and turned into sadness. "I mean, that isn't even possible! Why don't we discover for a way to make the oxygen spread through the whole universe? Isn't that more fun?"

"That boring." She says annoyed. I was looking at her strangely when a light bulb appeared near her head making her frown dissolve into a wide smile.

So things like that happens in real life.

"I have an idea!"

After a few classes the sound of the bell echoed through the school walls signaling the start of launch break. I discovered that I have all of my classes with Elaina. I walked out of the class and went to our (me, and Alice's and Jasmine's) table with Elaina after grabbing our launch.

Not long after Alice and Jasmine appeared and took seats. "Oh! I never saw you before!" Jasmine declared, I mentally face-palm.

'Way to greet a new girl.'

Elaina smiled at her gently and murmured. "I am a new student here that's probably why you never saw me before, nice to meet you, Jasmine." She says, reaching out her hand to her.

Jasmine looked confused for a second, however after getting over her little shock moment she shook her hand. "Mind to tell me how you found out my name? Last I checked I wasn't a model." She inquires as she continues to gaze at Elaina.

Elaina looked surprised for a moment, but masked that surprise after a second. She looked at Jasmine and said "But you are the beta's mate, you must be a bit more popular than the others." She pointed out.

She was about to say something else when she closed her already open mouth, her eyes went wide and I almost didn't hear her when she muttered "Impossible."

Her eyes wondered robotically, James stood in front of our table staring at Elaina with the same surprised face as her.

Are they what I think they are?

"What are you doing staring at her, brother?" Asks Alice obviously annoyed, wait! Brother?

"He's your brother?" I question to which she just nods.

"At my mate.." Her brother says in a voice that's barely above a whisper.

I took a look at Elaina who was still staring back at James, suddenly she stood up and slammed her hands against the table. "This is not possible!" she shouted, sounding confused and lost. "My mate is supposed to be dead!" she shouted at Jame's face to which he returned by his eyes going even wider, if that was possible.

Elain then went running out the door of the cafeteria leaving her tray behind.

'Poor food..' I thought as I sneaked my hand to her tray and took a fry.

Apparently James went after her, why don't I spy at the young teenagers to know if they're going to end well or not?

After eating the rest of my food, in less then thirty seconds (Broke my last record) I excused myself from Jasmine and Alice and then disappeared into air. My legs carrying me fast and my nose is sniffing Elaina's scent.

I stopped and hid behind the locker when I saw the two of them talking. Elaina's head was down she said something I couldn't make out due to the distance between us.

She told James something and I saw hurt flash through his eyes, he then nodded and walked far away from her.

Getting out of my hiding place, I made my way after making sure James was nowhere in sight. "What's wrong Elaina?"

"I just.." She said, her voice was shaking, her body was trembling. "I thought he didn't even exist! It's a lot to take in, but I told him I need some time alone to process and think about everything."

"Why didn't you think he existed?" I asked, confused.

She looked away mumbling something and then told me that it was a secret that wasn't yet to reveal.

I took that as a hint that she do not want to talk about so I did not dig any deeper.

"Problems are like washing machines, they twist us, spin us and knock us around, but in the end we come out cleaner, brighter and better than before."
