When her eyes opened, there was nothing there. The girl I know and love was no longer in those eyes. All I could see was monster.

Then, she grinned at me. But not Carmen's normal grin. No, this was I'm going to drink you grin. She didn't know who I was, and it hurt.

"Damn it, Sammy. Hurry up," I spat as I backed away from her. I turned around to see Eva.

"That's not her, you know," she told me. I looked back at her.

"Who are you?" I asked her, anger suddenly lacing my voice.

"I'm Evangelina, an angel of the lord."

"Yeah, yeah, feathers. But who are you and what were you doing with her?" I yell, pointing back at Carmen, who was now thrashing on the bed. Yelling was easier right now, easier than seeing her like that.

"She used to be big talk up in heaven. Or at least, in my department," she says.

"Your department?"

"Well, I used to be a cupid," she mutters.

"What?" I raise my voice again. A cupid? What the hell?

"But then the apocalypse happened and everybody got all messed up! I talked to some people and got reassigned as a simple soldier. They sent me down here to work for the people," Eva tells me.

"Work for the people? Yeah, because that's real angel like," I spit.

"Hey, that's just what they told me, alright? So, that's what I've been doing. And when the great Carmen Vine called for help, I came to the rescue," she explained.

"Wait, why is she famous with you guys?" I ask her.

"She's the soul mate for the great Dean Winchester of course," Evangelina says.

I was speechless. Was this a joke? All of this time, Carmen was just my soulmate? This was just some stupid plan set up by the God squad?

"Dean, don't freak out, okay? You would have loved her either way. We didn't change anything. A cupid didn't even have to leave a mark. It was just known," Eva said quickly.

I stared her down. "So this isn't just destiny bull?"

She shook her head. "No, Dean." A sigh escaped my lips before I turned back to Carmen. She was shaking now, pulling against her restraints. If she doesn't stop, she'll break them.

"Carmen!" I shouted, grabbing her attention. She looked up at me with waiting eyes. "You have to stop moving, baby." She grinned that sick grin once more.

"Come closer," she hissed, but I knew if I came any closer she'd try to jump me.

"I'm afraid I can't, Golds," I said in a small voice. She let out a long hiss just before Sam came bounding into the room. I wasted no time and quickly took the medical cooler from him. I made sure to show Carmen what I had so she wouldn't try anything when I came up to her. I slowly approached the bed and sat down beside her. Sam handed me the scissors, and I snipped the top of the bag.

"I'll only give you this if you don't try anything, you hear me Carmen?" I spoke loudly. She nodded eagerly, focused on the bag in my hand. I made sure Sam had out his silver blade in case anything happened before I untied her wrists and handed her the bag.

I had to turn away.

Carmen was gone. No way would she lap at a bag of human blood like that. No way would she hiss at me. No way could she be one of the things I hunt.

Sam handed her another bag when she finished the first.

"Try to go...slower, Carmen. We, uh, can't just pick up blood from the streets," Sam told her as he winced, speaking through his teeth.

I have to get out of here. I spun around quickly and headed for the door, but a certain angel was blocking my way. "Move," I growled.

Eva looked back at me with fierce determination. "Dean, the love of your life is lying on that bed right now."

"I know, that's why I have to freaking leave," I spat back.

"She needs you here! When she comes lucid, you're the one she's going to want to see. Do you really want her to wake up with bloody teeth and not have her guardian to save her?" Evangelina said, crossing her arms.

Damn angels.

I turned back to the bed and wanted to throw up. She probably spilt more blood than she drank.

"I've got it man, if you wanna.." Sam offered as he watched my face. Eva waited for my reaction.

I coughed into my hand before I responded. "No, that's all right. Just...just stay out of the way," I told them. I went over to the bed and untied her ankles so I could carry her into the bathroom. The blood was beginning to set in. Carmen would wake up as herself soon.

She didn't fight me as I stripped her of her bloody clothes. She didn't flinch when I sat her into the water. She didn't even blink when I began to wash the blood away, turning the water a sickly pink.

"Dean? Are you- Don't cry. What's wrong?" I heard her ask. I didn't even realize when the tears started, or when the water splashed as Carmen became lucid.

I sat up and stared into those eyes I love so much. Those pretty eyes that weren't filled with monster, at least not for the moment.

This will be harder than I thought.

Hi, guys! I'm not even sure how long it's been. School is just so bleh.

I hope you are all enjoying the story!

I'm going to be honest, it's sort of hard to finish this book. I kind of struggled for a plot line and I realize there are many mistakes and the chapter could be so much longer. I made a promise to myself that I would finish this though. I'm hoping to get it all written by Christmas.

I realize that this is not my best works, but they are my first fanfics. I began writing "My Winchester" just for fun, but then it became this story that I fell in love with, and I started to gain readers. Thank you all so much for coming all this way, and I'm going to finish this story line for you guys.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! I want to finish this by Christmas because I will be putting out another story on January 1st. It's a young!Dean story, and I have fallen in love with it myself. I am putting as much effort into it as I can, and I will edit it to make it as perfect as possible before I publish. Just keep your eyes out on that.

Love you all!
