Grover was eating potato chips to his heart's content, while Annabeth cranked up the National Geographic Channel.

"All those stations," Percy told her, "and you turn on National Geographic. Are you insane?" "It's interesting."
"I feel good," Grover said. "I love this place."

Without his even realizing it, the wings sprouted out of his shoes and lifted him a foot off the ground, then back down again.

"So what now?" Annabeth asked. "Sleep?"

Grover and Percy looked at each other and grinned. They both held up our green plastic LotusCash cards.

"Play time," Percy said.

Percy, Annabeth and Grover took off leaving the room, but Erin stayed looking around the room, she didn't have a good feeling about this place at all. So she grabbed some food clothes and other stuff she would need if they left, then she took a deep breath before following Percy, Annabeth and Grover.

Erin bungee-jumped the lobby five or six times, did the waterslide, snowboarded the artificial ski slope, and played virtual-reality laser tag and FBI sharpshooter. She saw Percy, Annabeth and Grover a few times but most of the time she was alone playing and running around. As Erin was an archery game, a little boy was playing next to her, he was about 9 or 10 with olive skin and black hair. He had a huge grin on his face but disappeared when a girl a bit older then him yelled "Nico!" The boy tried to run away but the girl grabbed him, "Nico what did I tell you about running away from me" the girl said sternly, the boy looked down at his feet "to not to" he mumbled, "that's right" the girl said. Erin couldn't stop staring at them, something about them caught her attention. When the girl turned around her eyes met with Erin for a second before walking away holding the little boys hand.

"Erin!" she heard a voice behind her yell, when Erin turned around she saw Percy running towards her, "hey Perce" she said smiling before turning back to her game, "No!" Percy yelled before tackling her. "Percy!" she screamed throwing him off her, "what in the name of merlin are you doing!" she yelled. Percy stood up grabbing her shoulders making Erin look at him, "we need to get out" Percy said slowly, "why?" Erin asked trying to shake out of his grip but he held on. "it's a trap" Percy said, Erin looked at him for a second before chuckling "yeah ok Percy" she said, "no Erin, our quest remember" Percy said, "soon Perce soon" Erin said slipping out of his hand and grabbing the control.

Percy suddenly grabbed ahold of someones water before throwing it at Erin causing her to yelp, "Percy!" she cried, she turned to Percy glaring at him. "Erin we need to get out of here people have been here since 1977, it's a trap!" he whispered-yelled into her ear. Erins eyes grew, "how long have we been her" she said, Percy looked at her "I don't know but we need to find Grover and Annabeth".

They both found Annabeth still building her city. "I will go find Grover you get Annabeth and meet at the front doors" Erin said, Percy nodded as Erin ran off looking for over.
"Come on," Percy told Annabeth as he reached her. "We've got to get out of here."
No response.
Percy shook her. "Annabeth?"
She looked up, annoyed. "What?
"We need to leave."

"Leave? What are you talking about? I've just got the towers-" "This place is a trap."
She didn't respond until Percy shook her again. "What?"

"Listen. The Underworld. Our quest!"
"Oh, come on, Percy. Just a few more minutes."

"Annabeth, there are people here from 1977. Kids who have never aged. You check in, and you stay forever."

"So?" she asked. "Can you imagine a better place?"

Percy grabbed her wrist and yanked her away from the game.
"Hey!" She screamed and hit him, but nobody else even bothered looking at them. They were too busy. Percy made her look directly in his eyes. Percy then said, "Spiders. Large, hairy spiders."
That jarred her. Her vision cleared. "Oh my gods," she said. "How long have we-"
"I don't know, but we got to go meet Erin and Grover."

Percy and Annabeth ran to the front door meeting Erin and Grover. Erin had her hands around his as he tried to kick away, The Lotus bellhop hurried up to them. "Well, now, are you ready for your platinum cards?" "We're leaving," Percy told him.

"Such a shame," he said. "We just added an entire new floor full of games for platinum-card members."

He held out four silver cards, and Grover reached for one but Annabeth slapped his hands before saying "no thanks", Then they burst through the doors of the Lotus Casino and ran down the sidewalk.

Ares's backpack was slung over all of there shouldes, which was odd, because Percy was sure he had thrown it in the trash can in room 4001.

Percy ran to the nearest newspaper stand and read the year first. Percy turned to them, "we have been in there for 5 days" Percy said, Annabeth gasped, "we only have one day left" he said throwing the newspaper away.
