Taylor's POV-
I looked at the shining bright neon lights that spelled 'Carnival.' I squealed really loud. I haven't been in a carnival in 2 years. I know i've been gone for 5 years, but my parents didn't want us to go to the carnival cause of there 'unhealthy food.' Sometimes in Indiana, me and my best friend would sneak out to the carnival. The thought of Vanessa made me tear up. A stray tear fell down my cheek, but I was quick to wipe it. I sucked in a deep breathe and caught up with the group.
The group and I walked to the ticket booth. Just as us girls were gonna line up, the guys pushed us back. "Hey!" Me and Sapphire said in unison. Lucas shook his head and muttered," Twins."
"What do you think you guys are doing?" Francesca asked. "Well sweet cheeks, but us guys are gonna pay for you girls and us guys. So everything that involves money, we pay," Chase said.
We groan, but hey we get to save money eh? They bought wrist bands because wrist bands are so awesome. They buy us cotton candy, but I shoved it into Lucas's face. He spit the cotton candy out.
"You wasted 2 dollars! Why don't you want it?" he asks. I shrug. "Not hungry," I say. He sighs and laughs. I roll my eyes. We looked around for a ride to ride to start the carnival night.
"Let's go there," I said, pointing to the ride. "That's the hurricane or something. Hey, let's make a bet. Whoever screams or vomits on the ride pays the winner 5 dollars," Chase said. There was a murmur of agreements.
We walked to the ride and waited. It didn't take long to get on because the line was short. We strapped ourselves to the seat, so we don't fall out and die. I'm over exaggerating.
"Keep your hands and feet in the seat and make sure your belongings don't fly out," said the worker here. We nodded and held onto the railing that was here. I looked at Sapphire, then Lucas. I gave them a firm nod.
Then the ride began.
ö
I wobbled out of the ride and held onto the railings. I am so dizzy. When I caught my balance and the world stopped spinning, I threw my hands up and whooped. I looked at the group and laughed. Chase and Bradley were vomiting in the grass and the girls were on the ground clutching their stomachs and holding there heads.Me and Lucas were the only ones who won the bet. I looked at Lucas and squinted my eyes. "You, me, fastest rollercoaster," I said. He looked at me and smirked. "Better not puke, Princess," He said.
ö
I laughed at Lucas's vomiting figure. I clearly won the bet. I switched the bet up a bit so instead of money, I get servants. Well, the girls have to go anywhere I want to go and they can't complain.3 hours later, the carnival closed. We all walked to the car laughing. Why did you shove cotton candy down my shirt?" Chase asked Sapphire. She shrugged and laughed. We squished ourselves inside Lucas's car and he drove us home. The car was silent. Well, other than the radio playing a Selena Gomez song.
We dropped off the group. Lucas stopped in front of our house. Me and Sapphire got out and thanked him. I turned around and waved goodbye. I watched his car disappear.
I walked inside and walked up the stairs. Changing into sweatpants and a plain shirt, I brushed my teeth and brushed my hair. I jumped into bed and got comfortable. Today was awesome. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I closed my history book and got up. I grabbed my bag and rushed to the door with my books in my hand. My history teacher, Mr. Harrison, lectured us about Abraham Lincoln and Israel Lites or something. I walked to my locker. When walking, I tripped and fell on the floor. My books fell out of my hands and somehow landed on my ankle. I cried in pain. I got up, but quickly fell back down. I sat down and brought the leg, that had my injured ankle, to my chest. I looked around and everyone was quiet, watching my every move.
