Taylor's POV-
I was in choir class reviewing my notes. "So I should go higher and not lower. Okay, now I get the notes. I should hold it out for one beat," I mumbled to myself as I skimmed through the musical notes."Taylor! What is this note?" my choir teacher asks as she points to a note. I looked over it and remembered it. "Half note miss," I tell her. She nods.
Then the fire alarm thing started blaring, alarming us that there is a fire. We all dropped our papers and I quickly grabbed my bag. I ran out with the rest of the students. Why do we have to be on the fourth floor?
I ran towards the stairs to see that there is a fire spreading. We took the emergency stairs. While I was going down, I noticed the third floor being enlightened by fires. I looked around for my class but couldn't find them.
I felt myself becoming very hot and sweaty. Tears started to form in my eyes. It has been a month and I keep getting into these kind of situations. I ran to the window that I saw in the hallways. I looked for a latch but couldn't find any. I looked back to see the hallway filled with spreading fires.
I looked out the window to see all the students outside. I spotted the group huddled together. They were looking around for someone. Me.
I banged on the window trying to break it. I looked back to see the fire getting closer to me. I banged on the window screaming out help. I dropped my bag down and looked for something to break it with. My science text book.
I took it out of my bag quickly and threw it at the window It bounced off. I picked up and threw it with my man arm, as the boys would call it. The glass broke. I ran towards the window. The students looked my way.
"HELP! HELP PLEASE!" I screamed on the top of my lungs. "Taylor!" I can hear Lucas scream. I looked behind me to see the fire getting closer. Is that even possible? I threw my legs over the window. I looked down to see a tree not to far from where I was about to jump off. It was about a 20ft. drop from here. I grabbed my bag and threw it to the tree. It got caught on a branch, thankfully.
As I was gonna jumped, I heard an explosion. I screamed and almost fell off. Please help me. If I don't make this jump, I might not make it at all.
Lucas's POV-
I looked around for Taylor as I also looked at the burning building. In a distance I can see the fire department unloading the hose. I heard glass break and looked for the window that broke."HELP! HELP PLEASE!" I heard someone scream. I looked up and saw Taylor on the third floor. You've got to be shitting me. Taylor why are you on the third effin' floor?!
"TAYLOR!" I scream. The group looks at me and I point to where Taylor is. "Taylor you daughter of a unicorn! What the hell is she doing there?!" Sapphire shouts panicking.
Then a girl comes up to us. "Why's Taylor up there? I thought she was behind me!" She says, tears in her eyes. "What do you mean?" I ask. "We were all on the fourth floor because she had choir. You didn't know that?" she said. We shook our heads no.
She had choir. What the flipping hell! Who cares! I just need to get Taylor out of the burning building! I saw her throw her bag to a nearby tree. It was the big oak tree that I would go to, to let out some steam.
I saw her jump and everyone screamed. She grabbed onto the branch and did some gymnastic thing. Like a bar or so I've heard.
"Taylor you better not fall off!" I shout, running over to the tree. The fire department rush inside to get the fire out.
I looked up at the tree to see one of her hand slip and she screamed. Her other hand was about to slip too. I ran faster than I could. I pushed my legs to go faster. I felt the adrenaline in my veins.
