Taylor's POV-
I closed my locker shut and walked to the cafeteria. I sat at my and the groups seat. I was the first one. One by one, the group comes. I greet them all and took out my sandwhich. As I was about to eat it, it was taking away.I quickly turned around and smacked someone's prized possesion. Lucas fell to the ground clutching his...yeah. He dropped my sandwich and it fell to the ground.
"No!" I draw out dramatically. "Hello! You practically punched me in the nuts!" Lucas shouts. I shoot him a pointed look and he shut up. "That was a sandwich!" I complain. He gets up and winces.
He sits down and sighs. "I'll take you to a diner later on. You have to wait on the bleachers by the football field," he says. I gave him a confused look. "Football? You play football?" I ask. He nods. I nod too.
After lunch, we went our separate ways. Class after class, school has finally ended! I walked to the football field and sat on the last top row. I made sure my stuff wouldn't fall because there's no fence or backboard on the bleachers. Just the benches. I plugged in my earphones and listened to random songs.
As I was listening, I did some homework. Math. I will never get math. It's numbers! It's not supposed to be hard!
But it is.
Shut up.
you can't tell me to shut up.
Just...go away!
I can't. I'm practically you.
I roll my eyes and sighed. I heard my name being yelled at, so I looked up, the sun blinding me in the process. I ripped my earbuds out and looked at them. "WHAT?" I scream back.
The whole football team was looking at me. "DUCK!" One of them said. "DUCK?! WHAT DUCK!" I scream. Then wam!
I got hit straight in the face by a football. I screamed and fell back. Damn you no backboard thing! I fell on the ground with a thud. I laid there to hurt to move. My face hurt, my back hurts, my wrist hurts.
I opened my eyes to quickly shutting them again. Too bright! The sun was soon blocked by something. I fluttered my eyes open to see the football team hovering over me. I slowly got up, wincing and screaming in pain.
I saw Lucas push through the boys and held onto me. "Oh shit! Your mother and Sapphire are gonna kill me," he mutters. "What duck?" I ask. The boys laugh.
"We were telling you to duck because doofus over here," I think his name was Brad, gesturing towards another guys I think his name was Chaz. "Kicked the ball way too hard and it went flying towards you. Were sorry."
"It's okay Brad and Chaz," I say. The guys laugh. "Our names aren't Brad or Chaz. It's William and Drei," William I presume says. My mouth makes an 'O' shape.
"Well, it's nice meeting you, but I need to get going or my unicorn will start ruling the world and make the man existents fade out," I say, nodding my head.
"Unicorn? Are you okay? Did it hurt you that bad?" Drei said, putting the back of his hand on my forehead. I smacked his hand and pouted. "I'm not crazy! You are you....you...NINCOMPOOP!" I shout, pointing a finger at him.
William stifles a laugh and so does Lucas. Drei was gonna say something when Ella appeared with her very showy cheerleader uniform.
"Hey Taylor. Did it hurt when you got hurt by a football?" she says, pouting. I glare at her. "Shut up Ella," I sneer. She glares right back. "I'm trying to be nice," she says. I scoff.
"Yeah right," I say, putting a hand on my hip and shifting my weight to my other leg.
"Yeah. Why would I even care? I mean, you got hit by a football and I just laughed because it's what you deserved," she says, patting my head.
I swatted her hand away. "I didn't deserve it. Your just jealous I got the attention of the whole football team and you didn't," I say, glaring.
"Sure like that's it. You can't even save your own best friend," She says, smirking. I literally saw red. I was about to pounce when arms wrapped its way around my waist. I kicked and tried to get to Ella, but this person had a tight but gentle grip.
Ella walked away smirking and the person un-wrapped their arms from me. I quickly turned before wincing. I forgot about my wrist and pain.
"What was she talking about Taylor?" Lucas asked me. I shook my head. "Taylor. You can tell me," he said. I looked down at my shoes and shook my head. "Please," he pleaded.
I know he's not gonna stop till' he makes me tell him. I sighed and walked to the first row of the bleachers. I sat down and played with my fingers. Lucas sat next to me and we both looked at the setting sun and the football players.
I sigh. "It happened in Indiana....."
