I watched mu mum and dad as she walked toward their gate. They both turned around for one last wave before they out of sight to board their plane. I leaned my head against Kyle shoulder as I watched the gate in silence.

"On the bright side, I don't have to share a bed with you anymore" Kyle said "I don't like your cold feet against mine"

"It's better than a cold heart" I told him "Anyways, can we go? I need to be dropped places"

"Sure" he said before leading the way to the exit "Where do you need to go?"

"Chloe" I told him.

He sighed "You don't have to tip toe around me" he said "You can tell if you need to be dropped off to see your stupid boyfriend"

I gave him a small smile "I'm glad that you're trying to be okay with this"

"I'm not okay with it" he pointed out "I just don't want to fight or lose you again"

"I'm still glad" I told him.

He then turned to me "I'm not doing it for free though" he said "You are going to be my date for the school masquerade party?"

"I'm not going to dance" I told him.

He smirked at me "You don't have a choice" he said.

When we reached the address Chloe sent me, I looked out the window to the house then turned to Kyle feeling a slight bit of guilt "You can join us too" I told him.

"I rather not" he chuckled "I rather stick to my territories"

I rolled my eyes "There is not territories" I told him "I do want you two to get along one day. I would like it if both of my favorite guys would actually get along and hangout out without being at each other's throat"

"Not a chance" he said "Just because I'm okay with you being with him, doesn't mean that I will be okay being around him"

"Kyle" I said but it came out a plea.

"End of discussion, Kimberly" he snapped "Stop pushing. Isn't this already enough for you. I am trying my best is here and I'm not ready for more than that right now. Just stop"

I looked at him, shocked at first, then ashamed, then really angry and annoyed.

"You know what? Screw you, Kyle" I told him "I was friendly with every single person that you dated and made an effort to meet and be nice to everyone because it meant a lot to you. This is literally the first boy I have ever dated and you're being a fucking asshole. Why can't you just be happy for me and support my choices like I do with you"

"This isn't the same" He defended.

I shook my head "No, you're just being an asshole" I told him "You're not being a best friend, you're being a control freak and a child. I don't know about you but I don't like adults that act like fucking children, so talk to me when you fucking grow up"

I stormed out the car as I slammed the door shut in anger. I didn't look back; I made my way straight up to Rio's house. Luckily, Rio opened the door before the third knock. He smiled before opening the door wider and gesturing me to walk into the house.

He smiled "Welcome to the cook off" he said as I walked into the house "Our contestants for today are Luke and Isaac"

"Hey, Rio" I smiled at him when he was done talked and we were halfway into the house.

The second I walked into the Kitchen; the devious smell of food hit me. It was mostly the smile of mixed herbs and friend veggies. Chloe was sitting on the bar as she watched both Luke and Isaac walking around the kitchen as they were cooking different things. There was at least three pans and a pot on the stove.
