Why? How? What?

Ow.

You woke up in your bed, flinching at the sun in your eyes. You rolled on your back and stared up at the ceiling. This is the time where your mind would slowly drift off and you would start thinking about well...everything.

'Okay so I've only known Namjoon for 3 days now. He's super nice. He guesses everything correctly. He knows so much about me. He got my takeout food for me...I'm gonna have to talk to him tonight. It's getting weird. But some of this can be rationalized. Right? Like he probably just took the bags from the delivery boy and brought it to me. But how would he know I ordered it. He never even asked for my name. He probably asked for my apartment number. But why would he do that? Is he just being nice or is there something I don't know about him. Ugh I need a cigarette. This thinking is making me go nuts!'

You put your hand on your nightstand and felt around for your pack of cigarettes.

Huh?

You opened your eyes and looked over to see that your cigarettes weren't there. You sighed and laid back down.

Oh yeah...he got rid of them. Great. Maybe I should go out for breakfast and pick up another pack on my way back. But I promised I would quit. Ugh! Damn my morals!

Sitting up you turned on the TV in your bedroom. Nothing was on that was really interesting so you just flipped through the channels a bit. Soon you got bored and turned off the TV. Looking out the windows in your bedroom, you got up out of bed and slowly walked to the windows and sliding door. You slowly opened the door and stepped outside, feeling the cold concrete on your feet and looked out at the city and little busy people bustling about like bees in a hive. You took a deep breath sighed. You just looked out into the distance zoning out and thinking about well...nothing.

"Nice to see there isn't a faggot in your mouth."

You turned to see Namjoon with a lollipop in his mouth. He had sunglasses on and his hair was a mess along with him being in his boxers and a t-shirt.

"Nice to see you have a sweet side to you." You responded looking back at the city.

"Thank you." He grinned a little bit and held out a little green apple lollipop.

"I promise it's not poisonous" he smirked. You took the lollipop and sighed. You took it out of its wrapper and popped it in your mouth. You looked at him while sucking on it, taking in everything that has happened.

"I have a question." you asked turning to him.

"I might have an answer. Ask away." He said not making eye contact.

"Why are you doing this? Why do you want to help me? How do you know so much about me? How do you 'guess' so many things about me?" You ask a little bit scared of what his response would be.

"Well that's not one question. Is it?" He turned to you with no expression.
"But I shall answer one of them. I want to help you because I want you to be better. I've been living next door to you ever since you moved here. 5 years ago. I've heard all your arguments with your boyfriend-"

"EX-boyfriend"

"Noted. I've heard all your arguments with your EX-boyfriend," he corrected,"but nether the less I wanted to help but I just didn't know how. I heard you scream in agony when your best friend died. I heard you drinking your sorrows and smoking your problems away. That's how I know so much about you."

"You answered basically all of my questions." you said looking at him.

"Shut up and go eat your breakfast," he checked his phone. "I have to get to work. Shouldn't you go to work also?"

"I work one day a week and the rest at home." you said looking back at the city.

"I know. Today's that one day. Goodbye, Candy."

"That's not my name." you shook your head.

"I know. I think your name is too beautiful to use at this moment. So you will have nicknames until I want to use your real name." He walked inside his apartment and closed the sliding door. You shook your head and your eyes started to go big in realization.

I have work today...
