chapter one: SABER

"ma alis na po ako baka ma late pa po ako sa work ko yari ako nito lunes pa naman ngayon."

Nakasakay na ako ngayon sa taxi papunta sa City Of Dreams sa Pasay. Sa Hyatt Hotel ako nag tatrabaho bilang isang Front office Manager.

Ako nga pala si Saber Dirham. Kulit ng pangalan ko no ewan ko ba kung bakit ganyan pangalan ko tinatawag nila akong Sab para daw hindi masyadong halata na pang lalaki pangalan ko . im 20 years old no boyfriend kung tatanungin nyo hahah.

Wala eh busy ako sa pag tatrabaho kasi kung hindi ako mag tatrabaho yari ako nito dahil ang kapatid ko nasa college pa taking CPA grabe tatlong taon pa bago ako makapag pahinga hay naku, pero ayos narin sa akin yun ano ba kayo kailangan yun bilang panganay sa aming dalawa diba. Sabi nila bat daw hindi ko pasukin ang pag aartista o pag momodelo dahil sa beauty ay may manners at attitude pa na para sa mga iyon. Pero sabi ko wala akong mararating doon hayaan na natin ang ibang tao ang mag trabaho doon hahhaha. Tama naman diba may trabaho na kasi ako at natanggap ng malaking salary tas may part time pa ako kung hindi ko nasasabi pero nag babartender din ako sa gabi sa VIP bar dito sa Pasay. Kasi kung hindi ko gagawin yun naku mukhang makakalbo ako sa kakaisip kung paanong budget ang gagawin ko sa pang araw araw . malaki din kasi ang perang nakukuha sa pag babartending bukod sa may tip ka ay malaki talaga ang salary doon sa part time kong iyon kayak o napagawa ang akong two story house at may sarili pa kaming lupain na malaki talaga yun kasi ang gusto ko eh ang malaking lupain kahit na maliit lang ang bahay tas may family car narin kami lahat iyon ay katas ng part time ko sa lob ng tatlong taon o diba tindi ko no ewan ko lang talaga kung hindi nyo pa makuha ang hubog ng katawan na gusto nyo sa patayang trabaho pero kahit na ganun hindi ako palaging nainom mga shots lang na request ng mga guest diba kasi kung hindi ko gagawin yun naku wala akong tip na makukuha.

Teka teka ang daldal ko no yan ang nakukuha pag nasa hospitality industry ko hay naku.

I look at my watch OMG I still have 30 minutes to fix my self oh thanks God. So I run out the cab and pay my bill to the driver and run fast as I can do to the entrance and for fucking shit I bump to someone . even thought his getting to my nerve I compose my self and say sorry to the person I bump.

"im so sorry sir , im really sorry sir." I say with matching bow to show my sorry.

"so careless women , you know you should not exist here in this planet you know that " he say as he turn his back to me.

WTF does he says, wow just wow so ugr what days is today o I forgot its Mondays to be exact its 21 of May what a day for me .

I run to my office and ask my friend slash secretary if what is my schedule today and what are the things I need to do.(o diba susyal kami ditto lahat ng mangers ditto may mga secretary pero kaming mga pinaka head lang ah or yung tinatawag na executive managers.

"Des whats my schedule now?"I told her as I sat on my swivel chair. And fix my elf so that I can go outside and check whats happening to the front desk.

"o maam just relax and fix yourself first so that you can do your obligation now , as of your schedule you have a meeting with Mr. Magsaysay for the event that was he want to deal with this hotel at 3 pm, and have a interview for the qualified employees in the 3rd level of interview at 10 in the morning and that's all for today" Dessa said while I was fixing myself and now I am done.

"okay that's all?" I ask her in a very sweet voice while walking to the door where she was so near and she just nods to me.

"so you know what to do , you need to remind me about the time okay you know me if I was on work time will be invisible for me."

"I know I know, you know Sab you should take some rest your always a monster in working , look at you your 20 now and turning 21 the other month after next month you should enjoy your young life while you can, Mr. President even insist you to take a break" she keeps on saying while we are heading to the front office , I hate to talk about that I know she knows the reason why I am doing this.

I tap her shoulder and smile so sweet and "I will be there but not now, I am still enjoying my work here"

I am now helping the Front office personnels because of so many guest who are having a reservation or just walk in . now I am checking the list of VIP for today because I am the one who will assist them as in the rules in the hotel, now you know that this is a really tiring day for me and us.

"o im really tired this day is really tiring day" I said as if someone is listening to me I am now on my office because its now 5 in the afternoon I just done dealing with Mr. Magsaysay and great because I convince him to have us for the birthday of her wife. And im also done talking to the other managers in my under to assist the needs and request for the party. I was now checking the report for the morning shift because now the night auditors are in charge in the front office. But later I will go outside to check if what is he doing. While reading some report I hear some footsteps that are heading to the door of my office and then the next I knew is that somebody is walking near to my table.

I raise my head and look to the person that hasn't and manners."good afternoon lady"the man say.

"goodmorning Mr.?"don't get me wrong in this industry its always morning for us.

"maam he is the Son of Mr.President"Dessa said in a low tone and her head is down.

"oh Hello Mr. Anderson, what a surprise , do you need anything Sir?"I said in a full of joy and sweet voice even though I am really tired.

"I hate that smile of your miss? And what a nice office not like to the other department yours are very clean and organize so tell me are you the one who clean this place or youre just enjoying sitting and let your persons work for you" he said in a sarcastic tone.

What the heck is wrong with this guy? So he want a welcome words ah.

"im so sorry sir but my office is clean and maintain its organize by my self sir, im so sorry to get you wrong but Mr. President also knows that im the one who does that here. And I am not using my powers to have what I want I use it in the proper and professional way." Tignan natin kung ano isasagot mo hmp.

"ah so..." he looks at my name tag"ms.Sab I hope that can still maintain that after my dad will take over this hotel to me and give you a lot of work" ah ganun so hinahamon mo ako yabang nito pogi paman din sana hayop ka sana tinanggal nalang sayo yang itsura nayan para tinapakan nakita kung hindi lang ako nanghihinayang sa mukha at katawan mo hay naku.

"what do you think? MS. SAB" I felt goose bumps on my body on the way he say my name. whats wrong with this guy. I was there like a statue as he turn his back to me and say "I will be mine".
