" You love her?" My father asked as I released from Aaron, guess is the part where shit hits the fan.

"Yes I do." Aaron stood his ground. My father had a frown spreading on his face.

He didn't say anything more, the calm before the storm and just walked back to the table.

"I'll see you later, I need to talk to your father." I stopped Aaron before he walked away.

"I love you." He hugged me slowly and pecked my forehead. He then walked away back to the table,I just told the waiter to give my father his wallet.

My mind was reeling, there's a good chance he'll be fired and this will give my father even more ammunition to fire at me when we have our monthly dinners, the lawyer and the liar. A small smile played on my lips, I'm in love Aaron and he chose me, we have each other if all goes wrong.

He's going to be a father yes but it seems like Caroline was taking it away from him in spite of how great a father he'd be. Things will change when the baby is born but I could handle it.

Here I am mentally happy because of our reunion when I need to be freaking out because of my father.

If he doesn't like Aaron and doesn't approve of him then...

When I got home I paced my apartment over and over again until there was a knock at the door. What if my father strangled Aaron?

I opened up the door slowly , Aaron was standing there. I examined him from top to bottom- everything where they should be (Or atleast I hope so, maybe he was castrated ) He looked a little tired .

"You're alive?" I hugged him happily.

He smiled at me.

"So, how bad was it?"

"Actually it was strange, after dinner we talked. I didn't get fired but he did say that our personal life is none of his business and if it doesn't influence my work then he doesn't need to know much. Although he didn't seem too pleased, he also told me that 'I swear to god if you break her heart I'll fire you and then I will hunt you down young man'." I shrugged,well it's better than a shit storm and it wasn't like I was hoping for him to be welcomed into the family like a long lost son, far from it .

"Atleast now I can introduce you to my mother..." Aaron smiled happily.

"I've met her ,she consulted on a case, actually now you can meet my parents and sister."

"I can't wait."

-2 weeks later-

It was the weekend of Christmas after my father found out, my mother found out, it was awkward but they are warming up to him. Daniel teases me regularly that his brother in law was going to be his boss.

Today we'd drive to Boston to meet his parents , I was very anxious maybe they wouldn't like me .

I was staring out of the window as Aaron drove, thinking about how our basically complicated relationship was becoming less and less complicated , it was more about the love now then the obstacles that we would face.

"Are you okay?" Was I okay with all of this? Nope, but I was going to make this work.

"Yeah."

"No you're not-what's bugging you?"

"I don't know, I just have this bad feeling about meeting your parents,I'm 99% sure that they aren't going to approve of me."

"How would you know that if you haven't met them yet? Don't worry about it, I like you so I'm sure they'll love you."
