It was nine o'clock a.m. when I had awoken with a splitting headache. I guess I had had one too many tequila shots at the club last night. I had just moved to L.A. from Houston about a month ago, and they were not kidding about the night life here. Whether it be some of the hottest celebrities showing up making appearances, or the exclusive after parties you'd be lucky to be invited to, every night something big happens.

I got out of bed and slipped on the fuzzy pink slippers and ex had given me and trudged to the bathroom. After I took a headache pill, I filled the tub with warm water and bubble bath for a long soak. As I was just about to step out my clothes, my cell rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey Maliyah, what's up?"

It was my best friend Lai'lani. We've been tight since highschool, where we were as bad as they came. You can say I've calmed down a lot since then. She had moved to L.A. with me and we had gotten an apartment together. But, three weeks later she met some dude named Marcus, fell in love and moved

in with him.

"Hey girl!"

"How are you feeling after last night?" She said. "You were throwing up everywhere. No more tequila for you!"

I laughed. That definitely was runner up in my most embarrassing moment ever category. Number one being the time in highshool when Josh Anderson sent a picture of my boobs to practically everyone in the eleventh grade class when we broke up. Needless to say, I learned my lesson about sexting really quickly.

"I know. That was really bad. I just have a headache though. I was about to hop in the bath and relax before you called."

"Okay. But before I let you go, remember the opening of Club ICE is tonight."

"Girl, I do not need a replay of that mess I call last night."

"Oh come on! You know I can't go without you 'Liyah. Please?!"

She stretched out please so long I started hearing buzzing in my ear.

"Okay, okay! Just stop begging. You sound ridiculous."

"Yes!" She squeled. " Pick you up at eight!"

"Alright girl, bye."

"Bye."

I hung up excited to get to my bath but to my surprise, the water had gotten cold and all the bubbles had disappeared. So much for a relaxing bath.
