He was the first man she had ever loved, and the only man she had ever pictured marrying.

And there she was, now engaged to the man of her dreams, and she screwed it all up.

She guessed it was just nice to be with someone new for a change. After three years of being with the same guy, things could get familiar... sometimes a little too familiar.

Dammit! She was bored!

The only thing Alissa could remember that was exciting about her relationship in the past year was Marc's proposal to her on Christmas Eve.

The relationship was going downhill for a while now. Just routine after routine: dinner almost every night, sleep in the same bed every weekend, have study dates every Tuesday, and laundry dates at the Laundromat every Sunday.

The only thing that held them up was their love. Great, now her disloyalty totally broke the only thing that had been keeping them together.

A tear escaped her left eye and she wiped it away quickly. She was sick of crying. Alissa closed her eyes and mushed her face into her purple pillow. She took a deep breath and then screamed as long as her lungs would allow her to. She couldn't hold the tears in anymore. She caved.

Alissa was finally in the dark. The sun had set and she was too lazy to get up and turn a light on.

Who cared? She might as well have gotten some rest. She didn't want to be awake when Catherine and Will got home...
