I decided to look in the mirror today
Looked and looked
Couldn’t tell why they didn’t like my face
Said I was ugly
I needed to change
But what is it about you
That makes you so pretty?
I act the same and look okay
But you always say I’m shitty
I learned to live while dying inside
But don’t you worry; I’m alright
Part of me is already dead
Another part is head
Saying not to listen to you
But it’s the only thing my ears can do
The third part is my heart
Taking everything so seriously
Because you say it so sincerely
School is awful, even without you
Bringing me down, and your little friends too
They follow, and don’t say a word
When you’re burying me under the dirt
But don’t you worry
Your secrets are safe with me
I keep them locked
Right behind my teeth
I don’t care what you say
I won’t come down and act your way
Part of me is already dead
Another part is head
Saying not to listen to you
But it’s the only thing my ears can do
The third part is my heart
Taking everything so seriously
Because you say it so sincerely
I love you
Even when you’re like this
But trust me, you’re a great actress
Pretend to be friend
And it goes and ends
Whenever someone else is around
You change your song
The instant someone comes around
And I don’t make a sound
Part of me is already dead
Another part is head
Saying not to listen to you
But it’s the only thing my ears can do
The third part is my heart
Taking everything so seriously
Because you say it so sincerely
