People will break my heart
There is no denying that
But I never thought you’d be the one to do it
Or at least not yet
I fell for you the day we met
That hello to me was the best
It made my stomach flip
And the butterflies spring to life
Little did I know that Hello led to Goodbye
Just then my heart decided to break
Into a million little pieces I was forced to try and fix
Everybody says time heals everything
But time won’t fix this
The break was too much the bruises will remain
And the gashes will continue to bleed
This is something time can never heal.
