Chapter 49: Let The Prank War Begin

Heya everyone!

Please don't kill me!

I know this update is late but I do have a reason.

Yesterday, I had the chapter typed up but I hadn't edited it yet, and I didn't want to post an unedited chapter, so I thought I would do it after eating dinner.

However thanks to homework, I had a late dinner, and by the time I was done it, it was late at night, and I had to go to sleep because I wake up pretty early for school.

~Gray's POV~

I tapped my foot continuously, waiting for the others to come.

After a few minutes, Juvia came running down the hall, with a big smile on her face.

"Hey, sorry Juvia is late. It's difficult to come up with an excuse that the girls will believe," Juvia said, giving me a hug.

"It's alright, where are the others?" I asked, sitting back down.

"Juvia isn't sure, but they should be here soon," Juvia said, sitting down next to me.

"So that means we're alone for a few minutes?"

Juvia nodded, hints of blush creeping into her cheeks.

I smiled. "Well then it's the perfect time to give you this."

I took out a small blue box, and held it out for Juvia to open.

She looked at me. "What's this?"

"Just a little gift, since I never got you one from the store today."

Juvia shook her head. "That's because Juvia said she didn't need anything."

I shrugged. "I know, but I still felt bad."

"All Juvia needs is Gray," Juvia told me.

I smiled. "I know, but I still want to give you this."

Juvia smiled and opened the lid of the box. Inside was a silver charm bracelet. Juvia's hands flew over her mouth as she stared at it.

"It's beautiful," she whispered, taking it out of the box.

I took the bracelet from her and clicked it into place on her wrist.

"I'm glad you like it."

"Like it? Gray, Juvia loves it!" she exclaimed, giving me a hug.

"Thank you," she whispered.

I laughed. "If I knew it would make you this happy, I would have gotten it for you sooner."

Juvia laughed, pulling away. "So do you have the cans?"

"Right here," I said, patting the bag beside me.

Just then, Romeo, Wendy, and Natsu came running into the lobby.

"Sorry we're late!" Wendy said, her hands on her knees.
